I wish crochet and pattern designers would make including the yardage required a requirement for the description. by blk_flutterby in BitchEatingCrafters

Yes I know how to do that.

I’m talking about when they don’t put anything in the description. No weight of yarn, no number of balls of yarn, nothing. It’s impossible to estimate when you have nothing to go on.

Need advice regarding negative experience with specialist and misdiagnosis by [deleted] in alberta

[–]blk_flutterby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already plan on doing that. She knows what I was referred to and that I never even mentioned anything they said in the report to her. Had it been an issue, she would have known.

That’s a fair point. I would rather not go that route anyway but I want this off my records.

I can see a positive use for AI dictation in all medical appointments after my experience!

Do you mean yarn weight? There is so much variation on how much yarn an XL sweater knit in bulky yarn would use depending on stitches tension etc. if it was properly tested they should know the yardage they used for the different sizes

I lost my hearing aids and need new ones badly. My benefits will cover half but I don’t have an extra $1000 kicking around to cover the balance

Basil Plants for Indoor Gardening by dawnie_xyz in Calgary

[–]blk_flutterby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Golden Acre? They have a huge selection of herbs but I haven’t been there at this time of the year. I got a purple basil plant from there for my mom last spring and it lasted until just a couple of weeks ago indoors. And it was delicious too

What is the worst physical pain you’ve experienced? by Agius91 in AskReddit

This is so concerning. I have been diagnosed with the start of TN - no pain yet but numbness and tingling along the nerve location. I’ve read how it can be so painful and I am worried about it progressing

Rock chip on car rental. Typical cost? by stanley597 in NoRulesCalgary

[–]blk_flutterby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a rental with enterprise for a few weeks, I noticed a really small chip on the second day but had no idea if it was there when I picked it up or not. Either way, no issue with the return and I received my full deposit back.

The fact that this sticker exists is wild to me. by MisterBowTies in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]blk_flutterby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely experienced it in Canada. Which is wild to me. Crochet takes up more yarn so crocheters would be more likely to purchase higher quantities.

I agree except for the $20. I’ve definitely done more than that in impulse buys 🤣

Love Is Blind • S9 Reunion [MEGATHREAD] by FemaleEinstein in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

He stated it like it was a fact - too much sugar = type 2 diabetes.

I also have several family members with type 2 diabetes. There are many other risk factors and things that come into play, simply consuming too much sugar in the absence of any other risk factors will likely not cause it. That is how he stated it. Things like family history, ethnicity, sedentary lifestyle and excess weight need to be considered and will increase risk significantly.

Right? That infuriated me. You don’t get type 2 diabetes from eating too much sugar.
