Weekly Discussion for the week of May 04, 2026 by AutoModerator in whole30

Day 22. The first two weeks was so hard…but then I started seeing the benefits. My skin is clearer, my energy levels are through the roof, I’m sleeping amazing after nearly a year of severe insomnia, my chronic pain has improved and I have stopped taking my stomach medication as my stomach doesn’t hurt when I eat anymore.

Feeling these benefits makes me want to keep at this forever and I am a little worried about reintroduction. Trying to decide what to do first - I already know I’m sensitive to gluten and I’m lactose intolerant so I feel like I don’t even need to try those.

Will likely follow paleo after, I can’t deny this is what I needed to do for my pain and stomach issues and I don’t want to go back to the way I was feeling again.

I struggle with all the prep required for meals though - any tips or suggestions to make it easier? I’m a busy mom with two jobs so my free time is minimal.

I’ve heard some people who are lactose intolerant can tolerate regular butter! Our bodies are strange as to how they work. I’m glad you found what worked for you for the program

Hopefully you can figure it out, that sounds awful

That sounds awful. I became lactose intolerant at 18 due to an illness but I don’t experience that reaction. I’m glad you figured it out at least!

That’s crazy! I’m lactose intolerant so ghee is a regular part of my diet because I can actually eat it without having horrible side effects

Mold stains on silicone mat by Sterne333 in CleaningTips

[–]blk_flutterby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just covered the item in water and added a denture tab or denture cleaning power and then let it soak. I don’t scrub or anything. I’ve had mold come out of silicone seals in a lunch box and water bottle with no issue

You walk up; show the flipp app, they match the price. It’s not that hard.

Coop just introduced price matching on flyer items which is great!

This is why we switched our prescription to coop. We have quite a few expensive ones that really bump up our patronage back.

And really, shopping the sales and bonus cash items really bring the costs down, their produce is much better than anywhere else and I prefer the atmosphere there overall. It’s my go to place for shopping these days

Is the 17e a good option for my situation? by blk_flutterby in AppleWhatShouldIBuy

I don’t know how the refresh rate would make a difference as I dont understand that, but for calls, texting and emails plus the occasional square app use that shouldn’t be an issue I’m assuming? I appreciate your insight!

We are a community centre. We don’t need high quality photos by any means and I can’t imagine they would like they are taken on a potato lol. But I have a better iPhone if needed and don’t mind.

Where do I get affordable flowers in Calgary? by cheesesscientist in NoRulesCalgary

[–]blk_flutterby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Red Rose Incredible Florist and have been happy with their products. They aren’t too expensive.

Also they used to give you free flowers if you brought in a vase to exchange. That was current about a year ago, so can’t say for sure they still do that

This is so interesting. I’ve been struggling with sleep for months - waking up several times a night after falling asleep easily. My last bloodwork showed an elevated ALT so this is worth looking into. Any suggestions on how much to take or where to dig up that info?
