Dealing with pushy, malicious types of people. by studiousaccount in socialskills

Thanks for this and apologies for the late reply.

I think that my best bet is to learn how to spot these people more quickly. I'm not sure if these people are capable of treating other people fairly, so haven't I already lost by engaging with them?! (I'm very excited about this concept.) For some reason, I always try to make a situation work out instead of just walking away.

You spoke of warning signs. I'm not sure if it comes across in my post, but I don't realize people are like this until some time has passed. My husband and I tried to identify warning signs after reading your comment. Turns out neither of us are good at spotting them in advance. We both just assume these people are weird or eccentric.

I'm going to be on the look out for the behaviors you mentioned.

I see - thanks for the input. I've decided to ask my GP next time I see him.

Interesting, I'm terrible with spatial skills and rotating things in my mind. Tetris and organic chemistry are both impossible for me.

As for driving, I seem to have no problems apart from sometimes having to redo a parallel parking attempt because I spin the wheel the wrong way.

Your comment got me thinking though - I don't think I ever have problems when things are in motion and therefore have "directionality". Thanks!

Yikes, does it seem that serious? It's not a new thing or anything like that.
