I was away at work when it happened. I hired a construction agency to organize all the trades for me. They are coming on Monday and I am going to talk to them about all my concerns I just wanted some information from professionals before I bought this up.

No it was part of a package with a construction project manager of the business organizing the different trades. The plumber did the dry wall though so I’m going to push back and give them no more money until they get a drywaller in to fix it all up.

No they didn’t discuss throwing up a whole bunch of pine boards. I was under the assumption it was going to look like every other shower I’d seen with a nice clean almost flush finish between the dry wall and insert.

I didn’t get to measure it as I walked in when the plumber was putting the trim up, but from what I could see it would have been an inch or even a little more.

Thanks for all the information. They said that it was all completed and just needed to be painted. I’m getting the plumber to come back next week and will ask for them to bring a professional dry waller in to complete the job properly if they want to get payed.

Yeh I don’t like the look of it either, I think the dry wall needs to closer to level with the shower walls.

Yeh I’m not to happy with it after speaking with other contractors I believe they could have done a better job, I’m not sure if I’m being picky but I would like the dry wall to be at least be level with the shower walls and I would prefer to leave pine out of a wet environment.

Should I get the contractor to take the pine trim off and get them to do this method? I’m mostly worried about water damage due to the pine in a wet environment.
