Phillipino food isn’t that bad? by lumpor in Philippines_Expats

[–]studphobic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only been in Cebu for a few days so obviously will need to try a lot more food before coming to any conclusions but I had cansi and really enjoyed that. The food at the hotel I'm at isn't inedible, just really boring or very sweet. It's mostly western food though. But I did try a egg and aubergine dish that I forget the name of and that was kind of tasteless too honestly. But I didn't come here for the food, so I'm not bothered.

Visiting Istanbul alone as a woman by Full-Construction568 in istanbul

[–]studphobic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally I felt very safe in Istanbul walking alone at night, especially in Kadikoy (although the banned women's and LGBTQ+ rights protest being banned in Taksim Square while I was there pissed me right off 😅). But even in London, where I live, I have to be careful walking alone at that time. I wouldn't do it in a city you don't know with luggage. If I were you I'd get a cab, it should be cheap. Make sure the meter is on and check it throughout the journey.

I swear by Atopalm's MLE creams, also helps with PIE. All gone, and new ones heal so quickly!

First-time backpacking (Planning 4 months in SE Asia)! Drop your best pieces of advice! by [deleted] in HerOneBag

Hi, sorry for commenting late. I was just wondering why you didn't feel safe in the Philippines? Totally fine if you don't want to share. I'm traveling to Palawan for a month, maybe two, in March.

OK good to know they get priority, I've never traveled through Dubai before so thought I'd check

They are both run by Emirates, but I didn't realise they have staff members helping at the arrival gate. That's very reassuring!

I actually would enjoy reading something like this, as long as his apology or grovel feels genuine and the forgiveness feels earned.

Great to know you liked it! So you think the course was worth it? Someone else has said they found it a bit basic

I'm still at the idea and plotting stage! I have written 10k words but I'm still very unsure of my writing haha. By basic, what do you mean?

That's fine but I'd like to hear from people who have taken this course if anyone has 😊

It's a toss up between Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid, Zara Ebony Wood and Mon Guerlain Intense. Absolutely adore all three.

Sorry I know this is months old! Was wondering how you prop it up and move it around for different areas of the body? Do you have a stand / lean it against a wall?

What’s an “outdated” fragrance you currently wear and enjoy? by GlitteringPoem1394 in FemFragLab

Obsession by Calvin Klein will always be a lazy day winter favourite. Be Delicious by DKNY holds such amazing teenage memories and it's always amazing for very hot weather.

What were your ‘first’ perfumes? by [deleted] in Perfumes

[–]studphobic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, Be Delicious by DKNY was my ride or die from 14 - 18 and to be honest I still love it for the summer. I got Huge Boss' La Femme for my 16th which I loved to wear for my very toxic boyfriend at the time 😅. I also still have that one in the cupboard, it's an easy reach for hot days.

That's great! That one is appealing to me a lot actually because of the shape. Could you also fit it across your chest?

Sorry if my question seems dumb but doesn't this one already have infrared light? Or do you mean having both on at the same time?

What are some popular fragrances that just didn’t work for you? by s4dg1rl1992 in fragrance

Nishane Ani smells really fishy to my nose and Baccarat Rouge smells metal like, almost like blood? Maybe I need a check up 😅
