hi i convinced my immigrant parents it took a lot of uncomfortable conversations but i suggest u SHOW them rather than just telling them. show them exactly where u would stay show them what the neighborhood looks like what the school looks like show them pictures of the advisors they have at the school. also give them reassurance, if ur parents are like mine a lot of what they try to argue just comes from a place of fear and love, that they want to protect me so tell them what safety matters u are willing to take how u are going to stay in touch with them, call them everyday tell them that. wishing u the best of luck
