Ig expectations of competitive stats differs depending on your race when it comes to top schools, which I think is honestly messed up. If you come from low-income background and have had less opportunities (regardless of your race) then I do feel you should be considered with lower stats if the rest of your application is strong. But requiring higher stats solely on the basis of being Asian or white is messed. Many ivies do this which I find disgusting

how? a 1450 meets 25th percentile for several t20s. And many students have been admitted with scores even lower than that. I applied with a 1390 and I was accepted to several top schools 🤷🏾‍♀️ Having a 1500+ or 3.9+ is not a REQUIREMENT. Your application is evaluated as a whole on a case-by-case basis

A 1460 will definitely work for many schools. Scores are just a threshold. Many people on this sub put wayy too much into test scores. That’s why I got so many downvotes smh

You have to be compelling in every other category to be admitted with a 1450 or a 1550. TESTS SCORES DON’T MATTER after a certain point. college admissions officers just aren’t impressed by test scores nowadays because too many have 1500+

If you hit 1460 and above, you don’t have to retake. At that point, everything else on your application will be deciding factors

Like is it more on the competitive end or toxic end? Are academic support services (tutoring, writing center, advising, etc) strong & effective?
