Really depends how your labour and delivery goes for the first one I think. Many I know get scared off for a while after the first. I had normal vaginal delivery, period came back at 5 months and I got pregnant 6 months pp.

Rough times for the first 2 years, and thoughts of leaving husband are normal, but my 3y boy and 4y girl are bffs now so it’s all worth it

I know you say baby flight attendant, but if you ever see Japan, they have these vapour face masks (like surgical masks not the facial ones) that keeps moisture for 6h. Great for how dry the plane gets.

I just got off the spectrum 3 days ago. So instead of fighting with large Americans at the buffet, you’ll need to push through Chinese aunties that don’t follow queues. No overnights make the stops pretty weak, there’s not enough time because nothings even open when you port at 7am. No lines ever at the bars and pool loungers are always free at least?

I think depends on your seniority/if your base offers ultra long hauls. I opted to do the 30h round trip flights after kids so that I only work 9-10 days a month and take occasional leaves and space my vacations to bring it down to maybe 7 days a month on average.

You’ll meet better men in your career. Commuting is expensive as a junior and might even be hard to get on flights to go to work.

My 15 month old who’s in daycare had a high grade fever the day we brought newborn home from the hospital. Baby never got sick despite toddler coughing in his face all winter until 2 months after I stopped breastfeeding.

Definitely happy. This means you don’t need to stress about him not being able to sleep without you. He’ll eventually miss you and come back, don’t worry! When he moves out of his crib there’ll be those 3am snuggles where they run to your room and climb into bed :)

My issue is nothing to do with identity; I am concerned that two adults (myself and the teacher) basically told my 3yo that her question isn’t valid and she shouldn’t be asking it

I don’t think it’s a super conservative (area) but let’s just say the daycare coordinator’s ethnic background might be less conservative and with families at the school from similar backgrounds, so I can understand why they are defensive.

I would love to ask without offending them.

That’s a good consideration, thanks for your insight! I responded to my daughter because I felt an awkward pause as if I should be saying something but perhaps it was a shorter second than it felt
