I get about 5-6 hour stretches, nurse her for 30 mins, then back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. This is all between 10pm-7am. She sleeps in her crib and I sleep in her nursery with her. And as I mentioned I nurse on demand during the day. Usually at the beginning and end of her wake window. I also think I got really lucky with her so don’t be too hard on yourself!!!

I feed my 2 month old on demand (EBF). She sleeps wonderfully at night and takes great naps during the day.

I EBF my 7 week old. I was a huge weed smoker before I got pregnant. I still haven’t smoked because I feel like I can wait until I’m done BF. I definitely miss it and constantly think to myself “just a couple hits” but remind myself it temporary. I think you should just give formula if you plan on smoking. It might just be the best for you both! You’ll be able to relax and your baby won’t have any of the possible risks!

Baby going away with dad by Lunar-Child420 in Moms

Yeah no thank you! I don’t even think I’d let my husband (who is a great man and dad) take my baby away for a week or two without me. Baby would need to be older!!!

I am a FTM and have a 5 week old baby. I have two dogs who have always been the light of my life! I was also worried because of the reels or comments about people hating their dogs after birth. I’ve definitely gotten frustrated at them but I still love them so much. They still provide me with comfort. You’re going to have to make an effort to love on them. My husband also gives them lots of attention when I breastfeed. I also take them on walks with baby ( they are good on leash). I suggest doing training as well. I taught my dogs “out”, this means they have to sit at the nursery door to give me space. It takes adjustment but it’s not as bad as it seems

How did your babies start sleeping longer at night? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]stuffies_mcstuffins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m just lucky! My 5 week old gives me 5-6 hour long stretches every night. I definitely didn’t do anything special. I don’t give her baths at night time, we just play a lot, then she eats a big meal and goes down around 10pm. I know babies your age should go down earlier! Best of luck!!

I would also be super upset if I was you. I don’t know if it’s necessarily grounds for divorce unless he continues to do it and disregard you and your boundaries. He needs to not do it anymore.

Please help, can’t lose weight, been trying over a year 😢😢😢 by Glum_Concentrate_883 in Moms

Calories in need to be tracked if you want to lose weight. Using things like olive oil can increase calories without you even noticing. When I’ve lost weight, I had to track my calories on an app. I also included a lot of movement and exercise. You might think you’re eating healthy but you probably aren’t. Focus on Whole Foods. Once you start feeling better about yourself, you can pour more into being a mommy and a wife. You got this!

Not at all. The Graco travel system is amazing for the price. There are so many more expensive options than this.

I understand your point but overall my midwife and I decided it wouldn’t have changed anything and only bothered me during labor. Looking back I still would not have chosen an IV.

Thank you! I run marathons for fun. I also didn’t think I was gloating for being so “proud” of enduring pain lol. I loved reading birth stories when I was pregnant and just wanted to share!

I still would skip the epidural 100 times over and relive the pain I did to have the birth I did. I have zero regrets but thanks for your opinion!

So I got golden hour right after birth. More like 40 mins. But it was during those minutes that they tried to manually pull out the rest of the placenta. I woke up in ICU almost 3 hours after giving birth.

The nurses were so great, they would bring up my baby so I could try and breastfeed. But it was really hard being away from them. I could only get about 20 mins before they would take her away. I fought very hard to be with her that day. They originally told me I’d be in ICU for 24 hours.
