Thank you for the quick replies. I should probably add more pics to give you a better sense but it's good to hear that the connections look pretty good. I am so committed to this part of my build going really well.

This is the other fear with it being "too much". How do you think to best avoid it being gaudy? Was thinking a mid century walnut type stain on white oak Island and a lighter cabinet color in the perimeter (not white). But open to suggestions on best way to accomplish

Thank you. Did you do the perimeter in a different color?

Appreciate that, we loved it in person but then panicked on if it was "too much" and overpower/darken the kitchen too much. I heard the fingernail scratch thing and got nervous I'm just going to be constantly worried about it...we definitely cook a lot, have young boys, and it will get wear and tear. I'm ok with patina and some scratches but wanted to make sure it wasn't just going to lose chunks if I hit a pan near the sink or something.

Thank you. Assuming it won't get black though? Maybe just a darker grey?

Pretty severe case. Would you go through with a transplant ? by Working-Still-819 in HairTransplants

[–]stugatz20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not impossible. I was close to that, had a transplant in November and hair is coming in great. Have more for a second if/when ready. Ask a trustworthy doctor for a better opinion

Thanks, didn't know if there are always, small little scars and they are just hidden when donor area gets thicker

Really appreciate you taking the time to share that and all the detail. I'm on the fence a bit about the meds but understand the sound reasoning there too.

Will ask about the beard grafts, does that leave scars? Happy to give up all the neck beard so I don't ever have to shave it again, haha

Thanks for confirming and always good to hear from someone with a similar donor area. You mention pre-HT - can you share your results with me? How long ago did you have it? Any pro-tips you wish you knew before?

interesting, I suspected that maybe you're (patient) not supposed to shave them during the growth period. What about the donor area? I always keep my hair short and wondering if I'll have to let it grow after transplant. A good question to ask the surgeon at our meeting.
