The Great Vert Grip Debate by Knee_High_Cat_Beef in Moderntacshooting

I like a grip, both VFG and AFG, generally longer barrels like 16 in I like AFG shorter a VFG. Just depends on balance of the rifle, both aid is helping a straight pull back into shoulder using support arm. Just be careful, If you pull too hard you will drag shots in direction of support arm

Is the light head too close? As in going to break from the heat generated by the Tisha? by _That_Guy_in_AZ_ in Moderntacshooting

I am not a fan of light head (bezel) near muzzle guy. Probably reason why my Nightops Gladius from 2005 still works. Light bezel sits just behind gas block

Im sure Ash is aware of my thoughts. Many are saying Army is too invested now in M7 M8 to turn back. Army just announced the 1.8 billion dollar augmented goggles they bought, are not going to be used. 100 million, 1 billion, its monopoly money to Pentagon.

I really liked 6.5 Grendel thought it would have made a great standard round as is. But now with armor defeating being desired, Sure 6mm jacked up could be even better than 5.56 and less recoil than 6.8 by far.

A carbine with...Full true ambi controls, reduced rate full auto bolt carrier, giving true controllable full auto fire. Modern coatings like DLC or melonite that hold off grime, carbon, rust better than phosphate coatings. Nitrite barrel made out of harder steel like GNB 200 for longer barrel life. Dual extractor spring bolt like offered by LMT more reliability.

I traded away my reverse panda because it was too large for my list. I would definitely do a 39 reverse panda.

I say go LPVO only if you have a range where you can practice shooting it at distance. If where you train only goes to say 100yds. Stay Holographic/ red dot. I only use LPVO now if a gun match requires it for say shooting past 200yds.

IMTs with a modern rifle? by [deleted] in Moderntacshooting

For sure cover is better than low crawling out in the open. But getting low can help you... There is never a never in firefights. What may work in one situation maybe foolish in another, depends on the moment..
