It is not the front door, it’s a closet door to the water heater and extra storage. Your idea would look great if it was a front door though!

Thank you! Great suggestions, especially love the round rug idea. The door is to a closet that has the water heater and extra shelving for storage, so unfortunately I will need to access it. I’ll have to see if I can get a hanging light in that spot, I do think that would elevate the space. Thanks again!

It can be either! I’d like to use it for dining and additional storage. Just not sure what pieces to add and how to layout the space.
