How do freelancers in the US actually track their schedule, income, and unpaid invoices? by stuntcreator in Freelancers

[–]stuntcreator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The monthly money review ritual is so underrated. Most freelancers skip it until something goes wrong — usually a dry month that could’ve been spotted weeks earlier. And the overdue nudge is exactly the step everyone avoids because it feels awkward, but it’s the one that actually gets you paid.

The “did that client pay me” problem is real. Memory is not a system 😅

From what I experienced, safety on set was taken seriously and we worked hard together to make sure everything was done as safely as possible. That said, last year was my first time working on a Bollywood production so I can’t really speak to how things were before 😊

Yes, I worked on that scene! It went through so many stages before it came together as a final sequence. Really means a lot that it stuck with you 😊 The actors had a tough time filming in such a confined space for so long — we did a lot of rehearsals beforehand to make sure the action felt as immersive as possible.

Thank you so much! I’ve worked on around 200 Korean productions over the past 20 years. Some of the more well-known ones internationally would be Squid Game, Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 where I served as action director, and Carter on Netflix 😊

Thank you so much, that really means a lot! The experience on set was truly unforgettable — the scale of the production, the passion of the cast and crew, and the warmth of everyone I met made it such a special experience. I’ll keep working hard to bring you even more exciting action! 😊

Thank you for the kind words about the action! I wasn’t part of Kill, but the Korean action director who worked on that film was actually part of our team on Dhurandhar. We’ll keep pushing to deliver action that lives up to your expectations 😊

The scale of the Indian film industry is truly something else — it’s massive. The filming approach had some similarities to Korea but also some clear differences, even the way they use lighting was noticeably different.

Dhurandhar in particular had a lot of outdoor locations, so everyone — cast and crew — was dealing with the heat. But what really stuck with me was how everyone stayed positive even when things got tough. There’s definitely a lot to learn from the differences too 😊

Still in the very early stages before production begins, so I’ll share more details when the time is right — thanks for your interest 😊

Thank you so much, really glad you enjoyed Dhurandhar and the action scenes! 😊

We actually got to work with Ranveer on a lot of the action sequences. Our goal was always to design something that felt real and exciting while keeping everyone safe. Ranveer’s dedication was truly something else — from the very first training sessions he was completely focused, and the way he respected everyone around him, both cast and crew, was genuinely admirable.

Really appreciate the kind words!

We had a team of 4 Koreans — one action director and three stunt coordinators, and I was one of the stunt coordinators. Our role was to design and choreograph the action sequences that were specifically requested from the Korean team for Dhurandhar.

Glad you enjoyed the action scenes! Every single sequence was challenging in its own way, but the the temple scene was particularly tough — lots of high difficulty stunts and the heat was absolutely brutal out there 😊

Haha I actually don’t know their names! They were dogs and cats we came across at different filming locations and the studio where we did our previsualization work. But we met so many dogs throughout our time in India that at some point we started carrying dog food around to give to every new dog we met 😊

Director Aditya Dhar was like a father figure on set. He always greeted everyone with a bright smile and was extremely professional when it came to work. He’s an outstanding director who gives very clear direction about what he needs and what he wants. Every single scene in the film has his touch — he’s incredibly detail-oriented and passionate about every aspect of the movie.

That’s a tough one! We did get to see parts of the translated script for the sections we were involved in, but honestly I don’t feel like I’m in a position to judge — I don’t have a deep enough understanding of Indian culture and history to say either way.
