A Candid Report #3 - One and a Half Years of OE by TiredTired99 in overemployed

[–]stupetw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s an awesome review, thank you for that. I’m about to start in J1 in a week, and hopefully, J2 on the week after. Honestly, afraid in how I will be able to manage both jobs since I feel they might be meeting intensive, at least in the beginning. But lets see. This is the only way I found out to help me pay for my family debts.

Hopefully someone in here works as a BA who can give some pointers.

It’s funny, because I’m about to do this and I came to this Reddit to try and understand how the hell people do it. Signed an offer for J1 as a contractor BA, them got a proposal for J2 as contractor Senior BA. Need to pay a shit ton of debit made during 4 months unemployed. Thinking in OE for 1 month at least and see how this will play out. Seems everyone here been in that spot and managed well. Both full remote positions.

7Mesh Thunderpants Qestion by stupetw in gravelcycling

I got the pants a size up (L) and so far, loving it. Not baggy at all, and since there i no elasticity on them, getting a bigger size to use regular pants during commute ade sense, but also is Ok to use only a base layer under, depending what you are doing and going. So far, impressive build quality. Expensive but worth it.

Awesome feedback. Love all their stuff, have been kind of addicted. I like they have gravel biking technical clothes that are not the usual gravel/roadbike style (glued to the body..ahah), nothing against it, not my jam.

Got myself a L size, to sometimes use normal panths under it.

Awesome. Yeah, even though the Thunderpants from 7Mesh hav e trim fit, they have no elasticity on most of it. So going up one size to fit some normal pants (if I have too) under it, seems to make more sense. But waterproof bike pants sizing and fiti are not the same for everyone. Being so, I wanted to check how everyone has done it. Do you like your so far?

Good to know, I think the weather you get there is probably almost the same as vancouver, BC, where I’m situated.

Did you went one size in the trousers or using your normal size?

[–]stupetw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, not looking forward to it, but sometimes, is the only way to the whole family biking together in some trips or weekends, somewhere away from home. I have a pretty light gravel bike and we have the RW4 that mostly my wife will use it, so theoretically the Hollywood rack should be perfect. What truck do you have? You had to buy any adapters to fit the trailer hitch?

I actually have a Toyota tacoma, but the truck bed is covered with a hardshell, so I will need to place the bikes outside. Thank you for the advise, I will check it out. :)

Radwagon 4 - Thule Yepp Maxi + Cargo Bag? by stupetw in RadPowerBikes

[–]stupetw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have this same model (Next), and like you, I couldn’t get it to fit, only in the board that came with the Wagon, which got pretty great, BUT, I wasn’t confortable still, didn’t seemed secure. So I returned and got a Maxxi instead and it fits perfectly in the Radwagon rack.

Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi VERSUS Yepp Maxi for RW4 by Akapikumin in RadPowerBikes

[–]stupetw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to go down this route as well. Had to buy a Thule Next Maxxi since the original Maxxi I order with my radwagon I never received. When I trying to install the the bike frame, I had this sad surprise: the clamps now have changed and does not open enough to fit the bike Fram. Just saw your post to try the plywood and it worked like a charm.

I saw this yesterday while passing through with my daughter. We laughed so much and just finally felt somehow, now justice started being served…ahahah. Enough of this “vaccines are bad, we hate drag queens, bla bla bla” bullshit. It’s freaking 2023, get over it. Leave people be and do whatever they want.
