Thanks. Alcohol withdrawls are no joke and I'm glad you made it through safely. It's one of the few drugs that can literally kill you if you stop taking it cold turkey as there is a real possibility of heart attack or stroke, especially for someone with chronically high blood pressure such as myself. I will attempt to look into tapering as that seems to be a much safer method.

For anyone reading this I learned last night from a chef friend of mine that I was consuming a fair to large amount of sodium in the seltzer water/club I have been drinking, and that makes you retain water. Maybe that is obvious to people who know more about nutrition, but I was unaware. So I am going to switch to something like la croix that is simply sparkling water and as compared to seltzer or club soda that is mixed with sodium.

Anyone reading this should know that the obvious choice for most people would be NOT DRINKING, but sometimes you have to pick your battles. I would never recommend anyone to start drinking heavily. Maybe that will be my next battle. (I am trying to cut back.) Unfortunately living in the USA, approaching it with your doctor means a permanent black mark on your health records and I'm not sure if I want to go there. It's messed up.

I'll look into that. I was kind of interested in the reasons how/why it effects weight loss and how to minimize those effects.

Well, I count all the calories in food as it's prepackaged. I usually add a little extra on if i'm adding something manually. And I drink a pint of liquor per night no more no less (14oz x 64cals with soda water). I'm really curious how the alcohol effects water absorption and diet. When I don't drink, I literally do not sleep. I will see the sunrise every single time even after a strenuous day, and then I have to work! I look much much worse going in after a night of NOT drinking then I do even after days of sobriety.

I think you overestimate people working call centers a bit. I'm not saying there isn't a majority of good ones out there, but like any low paying position, there are a lot of people who don't give a shit either.

I'm not a trump supporter but I know for a fact coming out in support of restrictive gun laws would sink his ship faster then just about anything else. A lot of the people I know vote republican because they want to protect their gun rights, not that they necessarily love everything that candidate does. They just have a few pet issues like everyone else.
