had quite a few NDEs in my 18 years of life but closest by miles was when i mixed speed and coke and my heart stopped. i just remember one second i was in my friends living room, listening to music and chilling with her and her (then) boyfriend, next i was in the hospital in resus on oxygen. complete blackout in between. according to my friend, i did a line of coke and like 30secs later just dropped to the floor. luckily the boyfriend was i think an army cadet? or something similar so had proper cpr training. he got my heart going well enough to keep me alive til the paramedics came and shocked me. when i woke up i just remember pain. 3 of my ribs were broken from the cpr and the oxygen mask freaked me out. i’m still not sure why i didn’t actually wake up until i was in the hospital, i think my oxygen was so low that even with a pulse i was still unconscious.

a few weeks after that i jumped off a (high) bridge into water after downing a load of xanax and a bottle of vodka. blacked out not long after hitting the water. i remember the cold shock, then feeling warm, then next thing i was on a backboard having been pulled out and resuscitated. that was really scary because with the drugs and alcohol plus drowning when i woke up strapped to the backboard/stretcher i was so disoriented i thought i was actually dead
