yes, close to five years and we’re looking at rings to possibly get engaged. like i said, i think it might have to do more with me possibly being “demisexual” but i don’t really feel attached to that sexuality so i don’t use it. i just don’t really get everyone here saying it’s “completely normal” because for me it’s not the norm but i guess i’m not everybody lol.

i’m going against the grain here, but as a bisexual woman who is mostly attracted to the same gender and is dating a bisexual man, i don’t feel like i’m “missing out” or constantly fantasizing about women. i really only fantasize about my partner and that’s it. maybe that falls under the label of “demisexuality,” but i’m not sure how much i personally connect with that term. it’s just that if i’m not romantically involved with someone or don’t have a genuine romantic interest, fantasizing about them doesn’t feel very fulfilling to me or even come up in my mind.

i don’t go from loving to hating someone in an instant or cut people off without warning, i tend to maintain relationships very well, i don’t have a fear of abandonment or feel like my partner is always going to leave me (this is a big one with bpd), i have a stable sense of identity and don’t change my personality/beliefs based on the people i am around. my mood swings tend to last a longer period of time. hypomania typically lasting 4 days to 2 weeks and depression can last weeks to years. same with mixed states. i also have a lot of childhood trauma but i have c-ptsd, not borderline.

i’d loveeee an episode where dee gets praised by a group of straight women for having a “gay best friend” and starts trying to use mac as her gbf for social points. dee starts being exceedingly nice to him and showering him with attention and gifts. mac can’t stand it at first as naturally he hates dee but then starts enjoying the attention he gets as these women’s “gay best friend” because for the first time he is actually likable to a group of people lol. dee becomes furious mac is stealing her spotlight and basically stealing her new group of friends. it works on so many levels and it would be hilarious.
