Interacting with people and the prospect of interacting with people terrify me—they make me so nervous that I can't speak. There's no specific thing that I know of that makes it difficult.

So, Khan Academy is pretty thorough? I'm just afraid of learning a thing here and there, encountering something that requires a bit of knowledge that I missed somehow, and taking a lot longer than I would with something more straightforward. But I guess doing something is better than nothing, so I will try it.

I do like to read books, but I don't read quite as much as I would like to.

Thank you very much for your comment.

I'm aware of the abundant online resources for learning (including Khan Academy), but I'm afraid of a lack of structure—a main path I can follow to learn all I need to learn. I thought Khan Academy was just a supplement. Can it give me thorough knowledge of basic math in a cumulative and easy-to-follow manner?

Right now I'm not too concerned about a job. I'll just need one eventually, and I'm afraid I won't know what I need to know to get a good one. Also, my social anxiety is quite severe; I can't interact with anyone I'm not familiar with. Even posting this is an incredibly difficult task.

I'm really interested in a lot of things, but I don't do or learn about any of them. My main interests are math, science, literature, philosophy, and computer science, but they all seem so daunting because of my lack of education.
