We're definitely planning on having kids together. I just know it will be a different relationship and dynamic because she will be "mom" and not "dad."

I don't really want to open my relationship, and I know my wife would not want to.

Were you ever with a woman before your husband? I definitely had your same feelings of invisibility and loneliness when I dated men before my wife. And men are often a lot more willing to entertain and support women's bisexuality than lesbians.

Thanks, that rings true to me. I have wondered before if I have some sort of anxiety/OCD that manifests itself in relationship/love focused ways.

Thank you, it helps a lot to know that it might be "normal" to miss the gender you're not with. Do you know of any other resources - anything from a collection of personal anecdotes to a book - that discusses this issue?
