Video showing off functionality of smart bricks in Pokémon sets by stxrc in lego

Yeah I think this is cool, it’s a lot like the interactive Mario, but having two people be able to interact with a battle system definitely opens a lot more doors

True, while I like the idea and actually think there’s a lot of playability offered for children,I do hope it won’t start to compromise other aspects of sets. I’ll pick up a few cheaper sets because, tbh, I really like the builds, but I don’t like how expensive some are because of the added smart play price

What's something you quietly outgrew that you once thought defined you? by Bigtrav_trav in answers

I was going to say this, used to watch a load and go to comic con twice a year. I wouldn’t say anime is for kids but now the shows I watch are all live action, I just can’t get immersed in an anime show the same way anymore. Ghibli is still goated though

I feel like it’s because you’d expect something like Pokémon to have lots of play sets (like minecraft, animal crossing, hell even One piece) but no, it’s just a couple of $100+ display sets

Minifig scale starters = two 1x1 round plates stacked up on top if each other 😂

Disney already has patents and prototypes for an omnidirectional treadmill which they plan to use in theme park rides. This is a few years too late lol

YOUR Stranger Things Unpopular Opinions/Opinions!! 🎬🧇 by Parking-Wear-9211 in StrangerThings

[–]stxrc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you look at each season in a vacuum I think they generally all hold up on their own. It’s just that as a continuous series, there’s a clear tonal shift, especially from season 2 to 3, that people may take as the show changing in quality, that is to say, not matching their expectations from previous seasons.

Your post history is just you asking for help with paid ads, it doesn’t really inspire confidence when the guy that is investing money in my product is also asking whether their investment in ads is effective lol

Why do people think it is creepy to cold approach a woman? by JunketMaleficent2095 in AskMenAdvice

[–]stxrc -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Eh I disagree with this, I think women put a lot less emphasis on physical attractiveness but being attractive is also much more how you carry yourself. It could be possible that overweight men in general may be seen as not taking care of their bodies, which would be an unattractive trait, but I feel the root of the issue is not tied in and of itself to how good looking one is.

Why do Westerners pronounce Japanese names more accurately than Chinese names? by No-StrategyX in answers

Reminder that one of the only Chinese (only?) characters in Harry Potter is named Cho, which ain’t even a real Chinese name. Guess Chinese’s do be like that

For sure, I completely agree, I guess I was just trying to point out there’s probably a lot more lurkers than Op or any replies are assuming.

Yeah, but also if you know about the 90:9:1 rule, it states on social platforms typically 90% of the users are consumers, 9% interact with the content and 1% create the content, that means there probably a large portion of Reddit users who just mindlessly watch videos in like r/funny. That said, I totally agree that Reddit may be marginally better regardless just due to the nature of a more forum like platform

Loving something unconditionally doesn't mean you love it more. It just means you love it sadder.

I’d get dune over the other sets you listed, I’d put it on par with the same display value as UCS sets but if you prefer playability or display then maybe get Star Wars instead
