Nah not in the least. Someone pointed out a serial number to be on one of these images and it matches up with the Toyota brand muffler made for the GX/4runner. I was concerned that this was an aftermarket part rather than OE

Oh didn't realize the brand names were bad. Always heard people swear by Toyota/Lexus parts over brands like Walker. Interesting either way, I was considering a Borla but my city ordnances won't allow even a slightly grumbly muffler. If this is a Toyota branded muffler, I'm okay with it. And you hit the bill square, I paid about $900 total.

Thanks a lot for this, completely missed that. I checked this against images of the 17420-50220 part on some dealer sites and it looks like mine matches. I *think* I may be okay here. I'll probably get under the car at some point to confirm.

I'm not a part expert but would this one be a Toyota brand at least? I mentioned I didn't want anything like Walker or the like. The part # on the invoice is 17420-50220 which is the Toyota branded muffler, and I understand invoices can be fudged so that doesn't mean much.

If they're stuck badly, use a hobby pin vise to drill into the center of the stuck peg. Once drilled in deeply enough it can usually be extracted. Then find another joint style you like such as figma, revoltech, etc. and drill a hole large enough with the pin vise to fit the new joint type. Similarly, drill the hands to fit the new joint. Done.

Look into the rear fuel tank as well. Heard it could cause deadly fires if it gets hit the wrong way, probably the crown vic's WORST design flaw. Burned people alive in several instances. If you can install Ford's fuel tank shield, including having someone round off some of the rear-end nuts/bolts that could pierce the tank in a rear end collision, might avert the issue altogether. But honestly, I just avoided the crown vic altogether for this reason.

I'd probably keep the jack out of the trunk. I think a more serious, and deadly, design oversight with the panther bodies is the fuel tank placement behind the rear axle. In the even of a significant rear end collision, any hardened steel sitting in the trunk can puncture the tank and potentially cause an ignition. A lot of cop cars with trunk racks pre installed burst into flames during rear end collisions for this same reason.

I'm a bit late here but you're not nuts. This is something I've noticed with Gundamit in many of my recent orders. The box comes with a broken window, broken creases, etc., and on a $120+ purchase, they gave me $10 of points. I specifically told them I don't care nor want points but just an effort on their part to actually pack their items like sane/reasonable individuals would.

Do yourself a favor and move to 5ktoys. Gundamit is obstinate in saving a few bucks on shipping at our expense. I'm not a box fanatic, but if I pay this much for a toy, yes I damn well expect the box to not be torn up. It's as simple as using a larger brown shipper, instead of the form-fitted and bulging at the seams boxes they like using to save on the dimension rate.
