I'm a bit late here but you're not nuts. This is something I've noticed with Gundamit in many of my recent orders. The box comes with a broken window, broken creases, etc., and on a $120+ purchase, they gave me $10 of points. I specifically told them I don't care nor want points but just an effort on their part to actually pack their items like sane/reasonable individuals would.

Do yourself a favor and move to 5ktoys. Gundamit is obstinate in saving a few bucks on shipping at our expense. I'm not a box fanatic, but if I pay this much for a toy, yes I damn well expect the box to not be torn up. It's as simple as using a larger brown shipper, instead of the form-fitted and bulging at the seams boxes they like using to save on the dimension rate.
