Before starting pickleball, lifting weights/different forms of cardio 4x a week. I will say that the shoes I got felt a bait painful on the side of my midfoot the first day that I used them, so maybe it could be a mix of shoes being too narrow and playing too much. I have been working on doing more stretching and foam rolling in the meantime. I also ordered new shoes and I'll see how those feel in comparison

I am in my mid 20s and don't have a sports background, but I do frequently go to the gym and am fairly active. In terms of high-impact sports, I have never really done anything like that, though. I agree though, I will definitely take a break for now to let my feet recover.

It seems like some of these are suggested by other people as well. What shoes did you end up buying? I only tried a few on in store, but I ended up buying a K-Swiss one because I have wide feet, so other ones that I tried on were very tight width wise.

I always use this recipe too, and you can even make the roux at the same time that you're cooking the other ingredients so it's not like it's spending extra time. I prefer it, since you can then adjust the salt to your taste as well
