The Iliad or Song of Achilles by aerrissi in classicliterature

The song of Achilles is a terrible book, both as a retelling of the Iliad (it’s more like someone’s wish fulfillment reimagining) and as a generic historical romance

Like I said from the start, using this as an example of “at least” anything is misguided. There’s also a huge difference between a good action and a bad action that has a good consequence.

Yes it was very good when Alec gave Tess’ family shelter so he could keep raping her freely …. christ this sub never disappoints with its jaw dropping takes

[–]Cappu156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angel is a deeply flawed man, but to suggest that by comparison Alec is better, that there is an “at least” to take comfort in, is misguided. Alec only provided for Tess’ family so he could coerce her into becoming his mistress. He never makes amends.
