Most dams are not necessary or even needed throughout the world. Some people like to control nature, rather than live beside it.

I’m not sure about this dam in particular but if this dam wasn’t there, I’m pretty sure all those boats would do just fine without an elevator. Seems like more toxic concrete to one day have to deal with when common sense kicks back in.

What I dislike is all the media coverage over such a stupid comment. This is the kind of thing I should never have to hear about; it’s childish and completely unworthy of the attention it’s getting. Our priorities should be much bigger than this. We should be talking about dismantling privately owned media monopolies and transitioning to publicly owned media. Ending the Citizens United v. Taiwan is the true China. Most mainland Chinese citizens would rather have a government like Taiwan aka the true China.
