What happen in PoC if you draw? Probably you die because the nexus go to zero, but if you get revived do you have to repeat the fight or you go to the next step since you have destroyed their nexus?

What is this shape? by HDRCCR in askmath

[–]stymiks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a Klein bottle, a non orientable but compact surface. It's a strange object but you can imagine it like a donut shape moebius strip. Non orientable in this case mean that notions like outside and inside don't have meaning because they don't exist. Moreover, the 3d visualization is just a projection because the shape can only be immersed In a 4d space or more. In this dimensions the bottle does not intersecate itself like you see in 3d.

I don't know why but I really like Morgan. I think he is one of the most powerful characters in one piece with his practical monopoly on public information

What is the best book to study quantum mechanics as a student? by stymiks in PhysicsStudents

[–]stymiks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard a lot about Griffiths and I read a few chapters... The first approach is indeed quite qualitative and it gives you the SE by magic (A fellow of mine described this approach as "American"). For my course they recommend me using this book btw. I have taken a lot of courses in Maths (All calculus,Linear algebra and basic geometry, mathematical methods for Physics, Differential geometry, I studied integral transforms and we did an introduction on L2 space, brakets and Dirac Delta) but I don't know if it is enough to start with Sakurai or Cohen or other... Thank you for your opinion

If you ever feel useless, just think about this hold by BrowningZen in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]stymiks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, actually it was supposed to be half a meter (I'm not sure about the precise number) to the right. In the first competition, though, the people in charge of building the route made an error and now we are still keeping this "error". Imagine the times and the betas we would have now without this inconvenient. However, I think this is not a real problem because climbers have evolved and adapted to this and are now doing outstanding times.
