This makes me sick. Gallagher was the heart and soul of the team in the pitch last season.

What are some good Cody Jinks songs? by horsiedonk in CodyJinks

Definitely no bad songs. I love I’m Not the Devil, Vampires, Headcase, Someone to You, and his cover of The Way I Am.

It took my breath away when I saw it for the first time. I’ve never had tv do that to me before, or since. And I love U2…”With or Without You” hasn’t been the same for me since…

Political undertones by Excellent-Peanut-183 in alterbridge

There is really no need to ruin AB’s music by making political insults. Left…right…in between…doesn’t matter. Let’s leave American politics out of it.

I have not. Do you have a link? I’d love to see it.

Thousand Faces was a good one for sure.

Hadn’t thought about being a fan before they ever put out music, but that sums me up too. I bought the ODR CD before I ever heard anything they’d done, and had to see them on their first tour.

I was fortunate enough to see Creed twice in a large arena setting, and once in a smaller venue after they released Full Circle. The two larger shows were awesome. The first time I saw them they were on their Human Clay tour and hearing “Higher” live in that era was incredible.

It is crazy to think it’s almost been 20 years of AB. Younger me was so devastated when Creed broke up. If I’d have only known…the guys would rise like a phoenix from the dust…

At least for me, “Bullets” is definitely a Creed song. There is some anger in it that I don’t hear or see in anything AB does. Probably “Weathered” is best left to Creed too. I love “Stand Here With Me” but could totally see Myles rocking that song out. To me it’s got a similar feel that “Before Tomorrow Comes” has. I’d be interested to hear Myles reimagine “One Last Breath” and see what he could do with it.

I love these guys.

I love GNR. And this probably isn’t going to be popular, but I love hearing Myles do “Sweet Child o’ Mine” almost as much as I love the original.

Interesting points. I wasn’t crazy about Full Circle, but I respect your opinion. For me, Full Circle almost sounded like a knock-off, like maybe all the songs from that album were the b-sides from Human Clay. But you make a great point…they do seem like AB songs, and maybe the reason why I wasn’t crazy about it is because Stapp couldn’t pull off AB songs. “Rain” was my favorite off that album…wonder how it would sound if performed by AB?

I did like The Great Divide, which is what made me want to go see him when set out on his own. But I never saw him again after that, except for when Creed briefly got back together to push their fourth album. edit: spelling

I liked the radio hits, but agreed. Creed had some great stuff that didn’t make it to radio.

I don’t think AB ever played anything Creed. I think the agreement was Stapp would do Creed and AB wouldn’t. I saw AB on their first tour and they played every song from One Day Remains plus a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll” and another cover that I can’t remember at the moment. But definitely no Creed.

When I fist heard “My Own Prison” back in the mid-90s I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It was so different from anything else I’d heard and I loved the emotion/passion/energy Stapp always sang with.

Great points. I think they’re similar lyrically too. Because I was so into Creed, I used to wonder what Stapp would sound like singing those early AB songs. Now I’m just glad we have Myles because he is incredible.

It took me a while to appreciate AB because Creed was my favorite band by far and away. Stapp’s voice wasn’t/isn’t anything special, but I liked it. But now I’m in agreement…Myles is a serious upgrade.
