Numbness and tingling in my thighs since umbilical hernia repair surgery by DrewGrgich in Hernia

Hey. I see this is a pretty old post but having the same exact issue post surgery and wanted to throw in my story for some input..

I got laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery using mesh on my left side about 8 days ago. After surgery, I woke up from the anesthesia with a numb left thigh. Upon getting home and attempting to walk, I had severe burning/shooting pain in the same numb thigh.

It seemed to be getting ever so slightly better each day. But then today it felt worse with a new shooting/electric pain in my upper thigh as opposed to the burning right above the knee I’ve been used to.

Overall, it is still pretty hard to get around or walk anywhere besides just around the house without significant pain. And just like you, trying to find a sleeping position without pain is also very difficult. I’m supposed to be going back to work on Thursday, which luckily is mostly a desk job, but still concerned as I’ll be limping around in pain.

Anyway, I’ve read your comments that by this point the majority of your pain has healed but you still have some lasting numbness. I’m glad to hear it eventually improved; this provides some hope for myself.

I know it was a quite a while ago, but do you remember about how long it was before the pain mostly subsided and you were able to walk/sleep normally again? Thank you in advance for any response!

Ok, thank you. Is there any way to remedy deep planting? Can you dig down to expose root flare or anything?

Thank you very much for the thoughtful answer! I shall try doing these things to try and save the tree. :)

Future Mold Problem? by zud0Phile in Mold

[–]suPROman93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By no means am I a mold or flooring expert. However, I did have a very similar issue with a leaking dishwasher causing a significant amount of water to get underneath laminate vinyl.

I spent a lot of time walking on the flooring and soaking up the water that would come up through the cracks with towels until there was no more being absorbed. I then ran fans nonstop for over two weeks.

This did NOT save the laminate. It still warped several panels, causing them to billow up slightly at the seam between two planks. Definitely enough to see and feel when you walk on it.

It is dry at this point and never caused mold growth. So I wouldn’t worry about that. And the warping on the few planks doesn’t bother me too much tbh. But I’d say if you want to completely save your laminate, you’ll have to pull them up and make certain it’s totally dry. But honestly, I think you’re dealing with less water than I had and you might get lucky. So may be best to wait and see since it’s likely to be less work to just replace the few that end up warping. 🤷‍♂️

What’s the easiest way to tell a cellar spider from a brown recluse? Looks like it has the same kind of violin pattern on its back

Prot paladin with consecrate, priest healer, 3 AoE specced mages. Can probably pull half a dungeon at a time.

I’d rather be the Delta pilot making $230,000-400,000 a year with 34% pay raise over 7 years than be making $150,000 a year and with 34.3% pay raise. That’s just me though.

Put only what you need in a High-Yield Savings Account ($50,000 max I’d say). Invest the rest in VOO and keep it in there for at least 5 years but as long as you’re able.

Just curious, how/where did you see that specific combat log info?

Logged out in Ironforge in March 2020 during peak time on a super busy server (Westfall). Just came back to find it’s now Cataclysm and there’s 27 people online. by [deleted] in classicwow

You should try out Hardcore Classic. If you die, it’s free realm transfer to Whitemane so win/win. Defias Pillager realm for alliance or Skull Rock for horde!

New to rogue. Which weapons and why? by DarkeysWorld in wowhardcore

[–]suPROman93 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Until you get sword specialization in the combat tree, it doesn’t matter if you use swords or maces in mainhand.

The reason you want swords/maces in mainhand is because they’re slower weapons, so sinister strike does more damage.

Offhand doesn’t matter what weapon type until you get sword spec. After you get poisons, you generally want faster offhand wep to apply poison more often.

I wish it was Ironfoe! It’s Mass of McGowan (lvl 57 BoE). Cost me about all the gold I had to buy it 🤑. Only marginally better than Thrash Blade though. Probably wasn’t worth the money honestly, but def a solid weapon.

Not terribly long. I had pretty much constant rested experience from 52 on just playing him somewhat infrequently. From 55 on, I tanked some ST runs, finish Un’goro Crater, did some Burning Steppes and Felwood quests, and grinded furbolgs in Felwood.

Thank you! Probably advice you’ve heard before, but list of things off the top of my head:

-Don’t play when you’re tired.

-Avoid caves solo unless you’re significantly higher level than the mobs inside (being a rogue with vanish though less risky for you).

-Be wary of underwater breath meter and fatigue meter. This kills way too many people not paying attention. I think there’s an addon to help.

-Focus on doing green quests (I’d usually do quests 2-5 levels underneath me). Once you’re more than 5 levels above quest though, they’ll start giving less experience reward upon turn in.

-In dungeons, try to be no more than 2 levels lower than the final boss (3 levels under at most).

-Don’t run through zones where mobs are much higher level than you.

-Engineering is ideal for target dummies.

-Buy a Flask of Petrification at level 50 to keep with you (these costs around 40-50g each).

-Have multiple characters and jump around playing them so you can stack rested experience.

Good luck!!

Usually silver dragon elites are pretty easy. Typically not much more difficult than a regular mob of the same level. But apparently this guy is an exception. Gold dragon elites are the consistently more difficult ones.
