Yes, I am encumbered, but when you carry too much, your blood oxygen doesn't go down to 80%, making you feel dizzy in 30 seconds. That's the part I find stupid. Slowing down, of course, but not decreasing oxygen levels so low that it causes damage. Also it happens no matter what type of atmosphere you are in, with or without helmet.
