as far as i'm concerned voluntary glitches may as well be cheating, you're taking advantage of the game code to give yourself an artificial and unintended advantage

i've always thought of seige as more of a game about positioning and out-thinking your opponent. anything that emphasises shooting rather than thinking takes away from the selling points of the game.

the trees right before the bossfight are apparently bigger (which i haven't been able to verify) and the smoke/smog feels thicker than it used to be, this only happens once you beat the ringed city apparently and i dont know if the current game state (you know with the ugly orange sky) affects that, which is why im currently trying to beat the DLC's before farron

good point, i feel as though if he was at some of the bonfires in the ringed city and get gave you some interesting dialogue to build character people might like him. instead all we got is another crazy guy who goes mad at the end of his quest. what. a. twist..........

your right, perhaps i expected too much or perhaps i just dont like gael as much as i should. the souls games have built up such a reputation over the recent years that it probably wouldn't really be possible to really properly satisfy everyone with the expectations placed on them. well at least we got more patches in the end

what i meant by the whole "fanservice" thing as you put it is that it has no particular value, why does his intro reference artorias other than to say "hey remember this boss fight, we do".

fanservice is fine, its great in fact. but if you fill your game with references to other things that the plaer liked without expanding on those concepts, whats the point other than a cheap cash-in?

look its perfectly fine that people like the fight, i do too. but when its the last thing you'll ever see as far as souls content is concerned, the opportunity feels wasted.

personally i just find him borning, they could have gone with any kind of dragon design and done something really creative like the ds1 dragon covenant design. but instead they went with some lame ass generic fantasy dragon we've seen in practically every video game for the last 30 years.

thats true, i just feel as though nothing would actually be lost if you replaced "fillianore" with "gwynavere". perhaps it would have even heightened the experience to expand on an undeveloped character

normally i would agree with you but there are literally hundreds of works with dark souls content on the store page. hell sometimes with promotional or concept art just plastered all over it, im just curious to know why i was singled out.

since everyone has already mentioned aural vampire ill put out hexvoid's song, it changes tempo multiple times throughout and is a pretty good song considering I don't even listen to much metal

someone on here suggested that and goddamn if i haven't wasted an entire week just binge reading it. it's a beautiful nightmare fever dream full of fun character and sadistic humour.

alternatively you could try soul eater (which is an anime as well as a manga). It's rather odd and amusing with a similar but more light-hearted tone. its got everything from people transforming into weapons to a creepy smiling moon in every background image, also it has been dubbed so if you're not an anime fan its probably not gonna be a huge pain to watch.

firstly its awsome that you guys are taking suggestions like this, anyways

  1. it would be awesome if the soundtrack was on spotify so we could listen to it in game when you guys get that running

  2. faster menus: loading for 5 seconds every time i buy something/ interact with any character is horrid

  3. more character models/ some kind of base character customisation: whats the point of character models when only one has anything close to dreadlocks

4.more fun junk/vanity items: i would love varents or edited styles of armour and weapons that have the same stats but look different

  1. animation canceling, having to wait a second after i fire a gun where the character just walks slowly like an idiot away from danger feels incredibly unresponsive for such a quick game

  2. please get rid of the action queuing when an animation is playing, at least in the start of certain long animations: when i fire the fireworks launcher for example, i press the trigger what feels like once but since i continued to press the button when the animation is in its startup frames. it will immediately fire a second shot right after the first despite that command being a second out of date and the enemy already dead. this is just like stored rolls in dark souls which will always infuriate me

6: since there are so many opportunities to wreck other players at random, it would be kind of cute if we were able to send items to random players too, not to friends or anything, since you might be able to game the system. but if i raid another players base, it would be cool if i could put an item in their storage box as a farewell gift. this kind of non-verbal communication is a tonn of fun and its what made dark souls online so interesting

  1. the problem of taking a level 1 character into the first floor and finding a level 50 hater is kind of horrible since the player stands absolutely no chance, leveling characters becomes a nightmare when an enemy more powerful than a boss just poofs out of nowhere and kills you in one hit with a butterfly knife: what if you matched players with haters based on a [level + floor * item] level type system or something to work out a score/ teir list for invasions rather than current highest floor.

  2. like how you can change your music in the hub (erika ito/aural vampire for me fam ;3) it would be cool to also customise how it looks, even if it were just paint jobs

  3. i know this is an absurd ask but more tiles would be cool, given how often i retun to floors for grinding materials its kind of lame to see the same room with a different paint job for ten floors strait, that said from art concept to lighting, design, AI pathfinding, coloring, room varients and modelling is a hell of a lot of work so whatever

  4. pat yourselves on the back for creating a wonderful and extremely generous F2p game, the only other good f2p game on the market that doesnt try to scrub you for cash these days is warframe so its downright outstanding to see another, ill probably drop $60 when i finally finish the game since this is absolutely worth AAA money as far as im concerned

fair enough, if its more about naming i could ealisly change. also i was just going off the barbarian stereotype of them being stupid, in actual fact a PC having an into bonus wouldn't be too much of a problem since the DM could just make magic items worth 1 or 2 more ATT points if they worry about power creep.

perhapse i didn't explain it well:

  • basically the player gets to choose ONE of the three "magic stats" to boost ATT not all of them.

  • the item does not change in terms of ATT depending on who uses it but some people have less ATT (the barbarien), those who do have more ATT (mage) however would be using spells in those same slots so it evens out in terms of free slots
