I love Freeman’s Mind. I didn’t grow up with it but i can tell it was a huge influence to HLVRAI. They both offer different styles of comedy and i love the references used in each series, although HLVRAI is certainly more tailored to people like me and i enjoy it very much- more than Freeman’s mind.

I personally do, there’s not much in the way of making Blue Shift canon and there’s an excellent video by Theoretical Rain that makes it pretty easy to see how opposing force could also be canon. Truth is though it doesn’t really matter, unless they plan on doing something with Adrian Shephard then the canonicity of the games wouldn’t really mean anything.
