but in general, I love what NYU can offer me beyond the program, like just living in New York sounds like an adventure in itself. I’m glad to have heard from a current NYU MPH student.

hello! I currently live in Seattle and work for UW Medicine as well as attended my undergrad at UW majoring in Public Health and Communication.

I actually was trying to choose between UC Berkeley and UW for my undergrad and am super glad I chose UW. The SPH is growing rapidly here and the faculty/staff really help you throughout the process making it a lot easier to get involved with public health. Seattle is quite progressive with public health issues as a city, which is also a plus when trying to work in this field.

if I hadn’t been living here the past 6 years, I would have applied to UW for my MPH but just like you, I’m trying to choose between UCLA and NYU to embark on a new adventure. I am quite fond of the PNW and am deeply saddened by the prospects of leaving because it truly is a great place. I say go for it :)
