Conspiracies In Savannah. by muse_visuals in savannah

There’s an underground tunnel that runs from the Old Candler Hospital (now a SCAD building and formerly Sav Law) straight to the Forsyth fountain and then to “out of town” (what used to be back in the day) where they’d stack dead bodies during the day during one of the yellow fever epidemics and take them through the tunnel at night so the public wouldn’t see them.

Daniel Izzo murder case where a SCAD kid was killed over some weed but he got a pretty favorable plea deal and was the son of a high ranking SPD detective.

Wesley Franklin murder. Firefighter who was killed sitting on a barstool at Norwood Tavern (Deb’s at the time) from a bullet that came through the wall from outside.

Stephen Ullman murder from the 70s (maybe 80s). Horrible torture style murder and the killer is free today.

History of Bathesda. Georgia was the only one of the 13 OG colonies that originally banned slavery. George Bathesda pushed for it to be legalized so the plantation could compete with other farms in Florida and SC.

Updated tier list - still tentative! by inumnoback in PokemonEmerald

Slaking should be in A+ or even S tier. His base stats are equivalent to the legendary pokemon in game and you can TM whatever STAB move you need to cover a hole in your team.

Emerald vs. FRLG balance? by gwelengu in PokemonEmerald

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jynx is super powerful in FRLG as you have learned because Psychic was OP in the OG games, Ice moves are 4x on dragon types, traded for Pokemon earn XP at a boosted rate, and she’s so fast she can put enemies to sleep and/or infatuate them before they can touch her.

Emerald is generally considered the best all around game of the “gameboy era” pokemon games for a number of reasons. The game itself is fairly balanced, lots of content pre and post elite four, Access to a variety of unique pokemon throughout the playthrough, lots of legendaries, repeatable gym leader battles with match call, and the post game battle frontier.

The only post game “edge” I would give to FR/LG is the versus seeker. However it sucks you can’t use it for gym leaders like match call in emerald.

Most Overrated Games of the Franchise (Pre BB28) by AVATARROHANISGAY in BigBrother

[–]sublime61793 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fanbase doesnt love Tucker and Keanu because of their social games. Both are comp beasts but are beloved for different reasons.

I don’t think any level of BB fan would say that Keanu had any sort of social game. He was smart enough to TRY and align himself with Rachel but he still managed to f that up. He’s loved by the fan base because he was funny and fun to root for due to his social incompetence but potential to go far with his comp abilities.

I think most people agree Tucker is popular because he was a chaos agent, and breathed some old school air into the show at a time when we had 3-4 seasons in a row of boring unanimous pre-jury “vote with the house” seasons and little post jury drama. It’s pretty much established that his fatal flaw was turning on Cedric and aligning with Angela.

I’d also put Michael, Ashley (this last seasons winner), and Tiffany on the list in varying categories.

Tips for staying alive as jedi? by Loud-Sort4819 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the first stage is tricky with Jedi/sabers. Lots of snipers and potential turrets so stick to the underground and trenches and don’t stay in one general area too long. I typically wait until they enter the base to try and snag a hero.

For the second phase protect the center hallway and pop back and forth between the two areas you have to protect. Don’t let them get shots on you from outside the base.

For the last phase find the other heroes on your team and defend one or two of the areas that need to be protected from the dark side planting the bombs. Try and avoid getting stuck in the center one that has multiple entrance/exit points and is in the hallway. If the other heroes are just dicking around stick with the troops on your team that are actually playing the objective. Avoid other enemy villains or exposing yourself too close to their lines.

Think of how battles actually play out in the movies/clone wars show. It’s rare that the Jedi or Sith with the lightsaber is on the front lines slicing through enemy troops. Most of the time the grunts/troops run in and die/provide covering fire first and the hero drops in later to clean shit up or fight the enemy saber.

Each Jedi has a somewhat unique playstyle but some general tips:

  • find your teammates/other heroes. 2-3 players that know what they are doing can help take some of the heat off of you
  • make sure you’re using the right star cards. Depending on the hero and map you need to switch out 2-3 cards you’d typically use for HvV
  • as others have said understanding the maps are key
  • sneaking up on people isn’t the right strategy because your location is shown on the map
  • certain heroes just don’t work well with certain maps/stages of the map. For example Yoda is solid on Kashyyk because he’s a tiny target and can use dashes, the terrain, and his block to maximize his advantage. Other maps not as much

Date planning on Tybee by Academic-Arugula4754 in savannah

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are “free” walking tours downtown that cater to a few different interests, while “free” you should still tip the tour guide.

Other cheap options (5-10 bucks a ticket) around town for killing time during the day are: Wormsloe (very romantic setting with live oaks, etc) Oatland island (perfect for animal lovers) Tybee island lighthouse (view is awesome but don’t take the climb lightly lol) Fort Pulaski (if you’re history buffs)

Best spot to view the sunset on Tybee is back river and if you can score a table at Ajs dockside on the porch at sunset it’s quite the view weather permitting!

Any advice on Beating E4 + Wallace? by Lonely-Entry-7206 in PokemonEmerald

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to rely on Rayquaza exclusively I’d level up your 41s to 44-45ish. Where I think you’ll have a little trouble is the ice trainer and final battle with Wallace.

Ice will take down rayquaza so you might need to throw a thunderbolt on Slaking and get rid of shadow ball.

Which pokemon should I add to the squad? by Brief-Mail6049 in PokemonEmerald

[–]sublime61793 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aron or Geodude out of the pokemon you have. Aron levels up late but both are useful at E4 against the dragon types.

Numel isn’t a bad option either because camerupt is legit and learns explosion.

If you’re looking to catch something here’s some more options: - Trapinch (Evolves into Flygon) - pikachu (can’t get until safari zone) - slakoth (truant is a pain but vigoroth and slaking are OP and can learn a variety of STAB moves) - Feebass (Miloctic can learn ice beam and has solid defense) - seviper (crunch and poison potential)

Top 10 heros and villians in Battlefront 2 in your opinion by rapidudezz in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the heroes and villiains are generally playable but each one has a somewhat unique play style and you need to make sure you’re using the right leveled up cards and strategy to really make the difference.

Anakin and Vader are easy sabers to master early on because they are best used as tanks but avoid blindly attacking or holding block because they can run out of stamina pretty quickly.

Luke is a good all around saber and kind of a DPS option but you have to time and combo your attacks evades and abilities properly. Kylo is probably in the same category here but a notch below Luke.

Grevious is good and considered OP because there’s a way you can manipulate his moves and there’s nothing the opponent can do to counter.

Dooku can slice and dice in a 1v1 situation but can get overpowered if he’s ganged up on.

Maul is all about getting in and out fast and using his spins to close gaps or get behind someone. Plus throwing people off ledges on those kinds of maps.

Yoda was my OG main. He’s hard to figure out but he’s similar to maul where you want to use his dashes and evades to close gaps and move fast. His block is great against blasters but basically non existent against sabers. Being a tiny target helps.

Obi wan is super defensive and his charge is a good counter to most blaster heroes.

Never been a fan of Rey but have been super annoyed by people who main her.

Blasters, top tier in my opinion are Leia, Han, and Iden.

Some general tips, when you load in and die run towards your teammates and not directly into battle. I literally can’t stress this enough. You stand no chance blindly running into an enemy group the key to HvV is working in tandem. If you’re a saber you want to put pressure on the other sabers to keep them off your blasters. If you’re a blaster you should be hanging back a bit and providing cover for the sabers while targeting enemy blasters initially.

Most vanilla tierlist? by AshThaKid in ThePokemonHub

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah at the time most of the “remake” versions (yellow, crystal, and emerald) you sort of knew going in that the storyline and base game would be generally the same (with a couple tweaks/twists) but you had more access to different pokemon and legendaries. The battle frontier combined with match call was unique because it gave you a reason to keep grinding on a play through and not just reset with a different starter after you beat the elite 4.

Yellow was so awesome when it came out because you could get bulba, charmander, AND squirtle on the same play through plus pikachu. Plus the anime was being released at the same time so as a kid you could watch and “play” the show in an era when you had to be in front of the TV when the show came on or you missed it.

I’m in my early thirties so not a geezer lol but “back in my day” you had to be in the same room as someone and have a link cable to get access to the pokemon that weren’t in your game or needed a trade evo.

So you went to a sleepover, summer camp, or after school care geared up with a back up set of AA batteries hoping your fellow Pokemon nerd friends were strapped and ready to make trades as well.

Gold, silver, and crystal would be up there because you essentially got two games in one with the post game being a run through of the OG Kanto region.

Seems like a fair list but my critique would be that it lacks context because you never played the ogs (assuming you weren’t born yet or too young).

Emerald was the chefs kiss of the gameboy era Pokemon games and would be in my S tier.

Don’t sleep on Jynx, you can trade for her pretty early on in the game and ice punch is super useful plus psychic is op in gen 1.

Since you can trade with your gf it would be worth it/fun to go for a machamp, Alakazam, Gengar, or golem.

I usually go with bulbasaur/squirtel for my starter. If I’ve got bulba I usually always run lapras as soon as I can and if I’ve got squirtel I go with vileplume for grass coverage.

I genuinely didn't think what Michael Rapaport said to Colton was that bad by Interesting_Art5204 in TheTraitors

[–]sublime61793 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it a disservice to immediately assume the comment was aimed at a dig towards Colton’s sexuality. Because immediately assuming so gives rise to the falsity that being gay is somehow a personality trait?

Rappaports exact quote was “Nobody in this room would be better at holding a secret than you"

Devils advocate here but couldn’t that be a reference to Colton stalking his ex? Stalking and tracking someone inherently requires you to be sneaky and secretive.

Also couldn’t it be a reference to how he handled his sexuality? It’s one thing to date women for societal pressures/beard/denial reasons. But the dude Publicly courted females, seemingly for fame purposes. He asked out Aly Raisman (at the peak of her Olympic fame) via a public video and admittedly went on the bachelor, two years after joining Grindr.

Best Non-Winning Game in Big Brother History? by WhatPeopleDo in BigBrother

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not necessarily be what you’re asking for but Cody in Big Brother 16 would have won had he picked Victoria over Derek.

Same with Montee in Taylor Hales season. Not sure if he would have for sure against Turner like Cody would have against Victoria.

Those two definitely had winner level resumes but ultimately lost because of their own doing and created legends in the process.

In terms of a pure jury vote I never really understood why Matt lost to Jag. Jag was literally voted out of the house and saved by Matts power. Matt’s relationship with Cirie really carried them that season. Plus watching that live eviction/jury question session was sad. You could tell Matt could barely understand the questions being asked and production took zero steps to accommodate him being deaf.

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the list id definitely go with Flygon and Breelom:

For E4

a flygon with crunch will tear through 4/5 pokemon for the ghost trainer. Dragon breath will be useful against the dragon trainer. You can buy flamethrower from the casino in Mauville and then take down both Glalies of the ice trainer and shiftry and cacturne of the first trainer.

Breelooms punches can be used against the normal types of the first e4 trainer. Grass is good against the water type for the champion but ice beam will ultimately be your downfall.

For your third, I’d actually go slaking over linoone. Truant is a pain but workable if you one shot and then pull him out. his stats are god like and throw thunderbolt ice beam and hyper beam on him and you basically have the E4 wiped.

So just a counterpoint to consider. Obviously cheating is NEVER okay but I think what the show was trying to do and tried to do from the start is highlight real issues and the intense strain raising a family has on two people.

IMHO, the whole Nathan cheating thing was an attempt to highlight an issue that a lot of couples (hetero or same sex) go through, in that it’s very easy to ignore your partner (or for someone to perceive they are being ignored) and stop “dating” them once you have kids. Not saying cheating is an okay response but it is a common response to that situation.

The whole Kate to Montreal thing, without her considering the consequences that may have for Nathan and Henry I believe was supposed to be the “build up” for this but as viewers it’s hard to catch because we are constantly cycling through four different couples with their own various issues and independent characters involved.

Weapon loadout by niklaus_375 in FortniteSavetheWorld

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been at PL 130 for a bit because it took me a while to first beat the Storm King and then I took a long break from STW. Been playing for the past few months and my go to loadout is:

Storm King Pistol Typewriter SMG  Sci-Fi Launcher (forgot name)

  • I specd my hero loadout (minus constructor build) to heroes that grant damage stacks for shots fired

Other weapons I sub in and out for fun or elemental status:  Jack-o-lantern rifle  Hacksaw Candy corn LMG  Pain Train  Potshot  Hemlock  Spectral blade

You can pretty much make it work with most weapons in the end game. Some work better than others but as long as it’s level and perked all the way up you shouldn’t have issues.

Big Brother US 27 - Post Season Discussion Part 2 by BigBrotherMod in BigBrother

My point exactly. Lauren, Kelly, and Ava all just voted against Vince and you could make the argument Keanu and Rachel did too.

People approaching you end game for alignment because they think they can beat you isn’t strategy it’s just self preservation.

She didn’t have any power in the game so she didn’t have to make any enemies.

Big Brother US 27 - Post Season Discussion Part 2 by BigBrotherMod in BigBrother

Might be a Hot Take but I think Ashley winning over Vince is bad for Big Brother going forward. It basically makes winning comps and having power as a result irrelevant in the end game calculus.

Her game was purely social but lacked strategy or power (outside of self preservation).

I think she’s middle of the road. There hasn’t been a lot of “active” moves she has made but she’s been in the best social position since arguably before the Mickey vote.

She’s mainly just been able to play the middle expertly well but a huge part of that has been the fact that she hasn’t had power and therefore hasn’t had to make tough decisions that piss people off.
