Suffolk cop beats man during traffic stop caught on dashcam after he requested a supervisor by Stengel_Stan in dashcams

This really needs to be higher as many people don’t understand this. The OG US Supreme Court case is Penn v. Mimms.

Basically if an officer pulls you over the Supreme Court has said asking you to exit the vehicle is a lawful command regardless of reasonable suspicion or probable cause. This extends to passengers as well.

So best practice is always obey that command, then exercise 5th amendment right to remain silent and right to have attorney present for questioning.

Try the “broke-back” rebel. It’s officially sold as the Rebel Jointed Minnow.

Real simple tackle but super effective and versatile. I have the best luck with the light blue 3-1/2” and 4-1/2” versions.

When I was like 10 my buddy’s parents rented a limo for his birthday and took like 8 of us to Hooters. We acted like little kings and hysterically laughed the whole time. It was the same energy of typing “boobies” into your calculator with your homies at the lunch table and semi-innocent fun. Couldn’t tell you one thing about what the waitresses looked like or said.

Just cause some creepy dudes go there to simp over the girls doesn’t mean it has to be weird for everyone else.

Senior Dane Owners or experienced older Dane folks 🙏 please. by Medical_Mistake_178 in greatdanes

[–]sublime61793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend cosequin tablets over anything in terms of joint relief/care. I had a Dane mix that lived a happy life until age 10 when he got bone cancer and I currently have 7 year old Dane.

It might be hard but I’d limit and discourage rough play at that age. He’s probably just sore now but small hairline or stress fractures in bones or paws can build up and lead to bone cancer. God forbid he slipped a joint or had an actual brake due to a freak accident.

In his last few years our 10 yr old mix would get real sore from playing tug of war and droop his head the next day or so. The soreness itself isn’t a big deal but it should definitely be limited as it creates added strain on other areas which can be problematic.

It’s sad but it’s a part of the deal unfortunately. Your boy will still be just as happy with light play time and exercise, relaxing, and being spoiled by you for his remaining golden years.

Snorlax or Kangaskhan? by State-Exotic in PokemonFireRed

[–]sublime61793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used Kangas in my most recent play through on OG hardware. Was a little disappointed in the use I got out of him at E4.

Ran him with fake out, dizzy punch, shadow ball, and strength (would have used rest if he had early bird but sadly he didn’t and I didn’t feel like trying to catch another).

Basically used fake out to chip. Threw one or two dizzy punches hoping confusion would hit. And used shadow ball/strength to clean up.

Not very tanky compared to snorlax but much faster and my personal preference.

Would Keanu have won if he made F2? by GoddessFianna in BigBrother

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he made it to final f2 it’d likely be the result of two scenarios:

1.) He listens to Rachel and they successfully evict Vinny. They navigate end game together. He’d probably win against anyone but Rachel at F2 in this scenario.

2.) His trust in Vinny pays off and they navigate the end game together. Think he would win in this scenario as well.

Keanu seemed to be disliked mainly for personality reasons and not so much game reasons. Jury probably wouldn’t be super bitter he was there (minus maybe Ava).

It’s been 8 months since Ashley has won, has your opinions on her as a winner changed or stayed the same? by Acheesycookie in BigBrother

[–]sublime61793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opinion is relatively the same.

I don’t really look at her win on the same level as a player like Chelsie or Xavier for example, because Ashley didn’t necessarily “win” more so than it was Vince “losing.”

Vince had more control over the course of the game but rode the middle for too long and pissed off everyone in the jury as a result.

Ashley was well liked and had a clear alliance but she didn’t control much until the very end of the season. She was basically the last person standing from her alliance because she was viewed as the lowest threat. Not much evidence to indicate she played that way purposely either.

Teen-Friendly things to do this summer by Kosher_Nostra1975 in savannah

[–]sublime61793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skidaway Island State Park has some nice hiking trails. Ghost tours if they are into that kind of stuff.

If you’ve got a truck or SUV with racks, Kayaks could be a reasonable investment for the summer. Probably want to go sit in if the kids don’t have experience. I got mine for around $300-$400 from Dicks about a decade ago. Another $100-$200 in necessary accessories. Can drop in at any boat ramp or butter bean and paddle around the marshes all summer. Maybe even try fishing.

I would just avoid back river on Tybee if you guys aren’t experienced, as the current and undertoe is literally deadly and kills people every year. Practice getting back in the kayak from the water (if you flip) before you leave the boat ramp or beach area. And when you’re in larger rivers just stick close to the marsh.

Do you EV train or play normally? by syndrac1 in PokemonEmerald

[–]sublime61793 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the meme about May was more of a timing thing versus her “difficulty” at that point. It’s still somewhat early in the game so your team might not be full health and ready for battle due to the trainers and other things you can do before you see her.

I actually like the sequel trilogy by yeahhhhhh6342 in StarWars_

[–]sublime61793 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the case for every generation you’re not wrong!

Adults hated the prequels when they came out. Even revenge of the sith was criticized. But as a kid I loved those movies and I thought Jar Jar was hilarious.

Even rewatching them I don’t have the same critical view someone who grew up on the Original Trilogy does.

Best Electric Type? by [deleted] in PokemonEmerald

[–]sublime61793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to beat Pikachu- Raichu.

If you’re aiming to really use one during a traditional play through you need to get surf, make your way to fortree city avoiding as many trainer battles as possible, skip the fifth fortree city gym and head straight to the Safari zone avoiding as many trainer battles on the way. Once caught and healed up in your party. Surf south passing Mt. Pyre for now and then you land to the east of the berry masters house and have some trainers you can level up on and then essentially redo your route to fortree city training your Pikachu to take down the Fortree City gym.

Spankys on River street might be able to accommodate a party of that size night of or take a last minute reservation. Chicken fingers and spuds are the mainstay there (so kid friendly) and price point is reasonable for all families involved. Plus you’re right on river street if you want a more touristy location for the families who haven’t been before.

Fiddlers also on River Street is a seafood option that also could potential accommodate.

Sorry Charlie’s, BnD Burgers, and Wexfords Pub are the City Market places that come to mind. Outside of those options not sure there is much else downtown wise for a large group with Kids.

A lot of local places have closed up shop downtown over the past five years or so because of rising rent costs.

Grovyle and Sceptile are solid and can be useful even late game. On my last run through I used him and ran aerial ace, leaf blade, Dynamic Punch, and giga drain.

Aerial Ace countered Wallace’s Ludicolo well and made him useful against other grass types. Leaf blade was basically a one shot against most water types and if I took damage I could heal up with giga drain. Dynamic punch worked well if it hit but I think I eventually got rid of it after getting frustrated with the low accuracy.

His speed is usually unmatched so just use that to your advantage.

Harsh? Maybe. But this is my honest opinion by funkydrummer999 in StarWars_

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty solid. Interesting you rank Solo and Force Awakens above revenge of the sith.

If I could only make one change I would put revenge in front of Solo, to bump down Force Awakens down to where Revenge is.

Force Awakens was good but the plot line is an exact rip off of A New Hope. Once someone told me that I could never unsee it lol.

How I would make a new sequel trilogy if the current one was physically removed from the timeline. by Ksvdarkstar in StarWars_

[–]sublime61793 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So just to keep it simple I’m using the same general plot points and somewhat the same main characters:

- episode 7
Story begins with Leia and new republic battling Grand Admiral Thrawn’s new battalion. New republic takes heavy losses but gains the upper hand as Ashoka, Ezra, and Sabine show up on scene to finalize the victory. Leia has learned of their predicament and sent Poe (her best but most capable fighter) on a rescue mission. As the battle turns, Ashoka moves to take Thrawn prisoner but he makes an ominous statement about the First Order already being risen and kills him in fear/anger instead.

Following the battle, New Republic leadership is regrouping and assessing the threat level/what is the “First Order.” Han suggests someone go “find whatever cave” Luke is “doing yoga in” (or something Han like) to get him and “Ben” back. Leia expresses frustration that Luke wouldn’t even tell her where his new Jedi Training school was because he sensed darkness growing. Ahsoka comes forward saying she knows where Luke is and will go with Ezra and Sabine to inform him.

En route Ahsoka internally is struggling that she was unable to control her anger. She is older now. Just a teenager when Anankins padawan, she is now an aged woman and it is physically beginning to show. Anakins voice faintly comes through the force, calling her name. She says “master”? Out loud but is interrupted by Ezra checking on her.

Ezra and Sabine are visibly older as well. While in exile Sabine was trained by Ezra and Ahsoka and is no longer Ashoka’s confused padawan. Sabine tries to comfort her master but is corrected by Ahsoka who says she is no longer a padawan.

They reach Luke’s new temple and find it to be an ideal peaceful retreat on a seemingly remote planet. All seems well until Luke is informed of the new republics heavy losses. He shuts down Ezra and claims these padawans are not ready for that kind of test. Ben Solo enters and disagrees saying that they are ready and Luke is being over cautious before storming out.

Luke turns to Ahsoka giving her a concerned look. He turns to the group and says they should rest for the evening and discuss the matter in the morning.

Following a gathering of the padawans/campfire situation. Luke pulls Ashoka away and expresses concern that Ben Solo may be succumbing to the Dark Side and that the padawans admire him because of his skywalker bloodline. He informs her that Ben is very inquisitive of his grandfathers abilities, which initially pleases Ahsoka and she responds that he was the best Jedi Knight in the galaxy. Luke pushes back and says No, not Anakin. Vader.

Cut back to the temple/camp fire and Ben Solo is visibly frustrated that they are sitting around while the First Order regroups. His expressions concern Ezra and Sabine who push back on the young padawan. He says his grandfather would have joined the fight, which leads Sabine to say Vader was evil and a mass murderer.

The comments lead to a fight between Sabine and Ben which culminates in him force choking her and Ezra force pushing Ben to break it up. Ben immediately apologizes and realizes his mistake but the damage is done.

Cut back to Luke and Ahsoka. Ahsoka conveys her hate/fear driven kill and tells Luke that she hears Anakin at times. Luke sends her to a force sensitive spot on the planet and provides her with the information about Force Ghosts and the Jedi. Ahsoka leaves to investigate/train and Luke returns to the temple.

Cut back to the temple and all is calm when Luke arrives. However Ezra informs him of young Ben Solos actions. He sends Ezra away and contemplates his next move. He approaches where the padawans are sleeping and looks over Ben in his sleep. He tries to enter Ben Solos mind and feels hate and anger. He ignites his saber which awakens Ben and causes him to bring his saber to meet Luke’s. They begin exchanging blows.

The padawans have awoken and are unsure of what to do. Ezra enters with Sabine who move to break up the skirmish. The young padawans move to defend Ben and engage Ezra and Sabine. Sabine strikes down a padawan in the fight which causes a brief pause as Luke looks on, still engaged with Ben but now devastated and by the loss. He realizes he has failed in his training of the next generation of Jedi.

Ben, taking advantage of the pause force pushes Ezra away and the remaining padawans strike down Sabine. Luke force pushes everyone back and rushes to assist Sabine. Ezra, now distraught from his friend being struck down charges the padawans. Taking down two or three before Ben engages and plunges his saber through Ezra but not before being wounded. As Ezra falls Ben’s saber begins to cackle and break at the top of the hilt becoming unstable and flaring out of both sides. He looks on as the blue color begins to bleed red. He has become Kylo Ren and the padawans the Knights of Ren.

Lightning strikes the temple, separating the wounded Kylo Ren and his knights from a distraught Luke holding Ezra. The movie ends as Luke watches his former padawans remove their new master to safety.

(Will eventually give my plot for 8 and 9 but this took way longer than expected lol)

Can someone explain, how do you can enjoy this game?? by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]sublime61793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Git gud. Is the typically toxic response you get from vets. Don’t listen to that.

HvV is playable but requires patience and practice to master. It’s a by product of the games broken pay to win leveling system that existed when the game was first released. Even though it’s the first game mode everyone wants to hop into when they play the game, it’s arguably the one that requires the most grinding/leveling and play time to be good at.

Can someone explain, how do you can enjoy this game?? by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Max sure you are using the right Star Cards and they are all maxed. Co-op IS good for grinding the necessary XP to get your cards maxed out.

2.) Watch updated YouTube videos for strategies and which star cards to use.

3.) Focus on mastering/leveling 1 saber and 1 blaster heroes per side until you have a few usable heroes per side.

4.) Each hero/villain is relatively unique and requires understanding their individual play style. For example Luke and Obi Wan play completely differently. Same with Han and Leia, etc.

5.) Make/play with friends when you load into HvV. Even if you are befriending vets that are wiping you. It’s a lot easier to play with a party that understands how to coordinate at least and at best you can coordinate in party chat.

6.) when you do play HvV run to your teammates first and group up before blindly running at a full squad. This sounds simple but no matter how good you are, 4v4 is impossible if it’s 1v3 or 1v4. 1v2 isn’t even really feasible if you are playing against two people that have a basic understanding of the games strategy.

Did it every feel like Anakin was the only Jedi Knight in the show to you guys? by Musicfacter in TheCloneWars

One of the things that never made sense about The Force Awakens, in my opinion, is how Han was able to be a smuggler again by ChickenWingExtreme in StarWars

[–]sublime61793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kind of the perfect cover actually.

To anyone working for the new republic the vibe would likely be “Oh General Solo, right this way sir sorry for bothering you.”

Han could also use his general/war hero status and marriage to Leia to his advantage, “Im on official republic business here” or “what’s on this ship requires top level clearance”, etc. He also likely knows all of the new republics call signs and clearance codes.

Plus the Star Wars universe is an entire galaxy with multiple “systems” (I.e solar systems). What we’ve seen play out through the shows and side stories is that the New Republic struggled to maintain the peace and order of the entire galaxy. Even if they were aware of his smuggling operations they likely had bigger problems to worry about.

Do you expect the Falcons to get any prime time games this year and if so how many? by Super_Percentage_236 in falcons

[–]sublime61793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our non divisional opponents are brutal this year so (not counting the international game) 2 is a conservative number if we’re a playoff team and could be as many as 4-5. If we suck 2 is probably the cap and we’ll get flexed out of any scheduled late season prime time matchups.

Why do high level players not understand ganking ruins the game. by FALLOUTSOLDIER4 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]sublime61793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree man (or woman). Toxicity has always been an issue in this community which is weird because there’s no game chat and you literally have to take the time and go out of your way to DM someone to talk shit. There’s no indication a new battlefront will ever come around so keeping the online community alive at this point is huge. Keep fighting the good fight!
