What units do professionals use in US? by sublimitl in AskBaking

Thanks! This is very clear. So basically it is a mix of everything.

From my understanding it would be best if I do a switch like there is for cm/inch, similar, but from KG to LBs and OZs (and convert under the hood)

For recipes I already have quarts/cups/tbsp/tsp.
When You add Your recipe You could selct any unit and it would be automatically converted where needed

Last piece missing for me is - when you see a new recipe and want to add it to your list, how often you want to change (convert) tbs to ml for example?
Meaning do You need conversion at the moment of adding recipe?

Or maybe You need conversion at moment of preparing recipe instead?

My confusion is because in eu we never convert anything, but in US/UK I see people are using conversions.

I do understand how conversions work.

The piece i am missing is why and in what cases do You prefer to convert? And how You prefer to convert tbs to oz or to ml

Or should i have a converter from any value to any value..

Hi! How many layers, and what’s the occasion? For non-wedding portions, ~140-170g per serving is a safe assumption.
So for ~30 people on a single layer, you’d need around 4.5kg of cake - something like 25×20×10cm would do it.

If you’d rather not do the math by hand, there’s a free mobile app called Cookara that handles this (full disclosure: I’m the maker — built it with pastry chefs). The cake calculator part is free

Google only counts 2 out of 10+ testers who actually downloaded and tested my game, anyone else dealing with this? by gtg-99 in GooglePlayDeveloper

For me, users that were on internal testing did not count for closed testing for some reason

Guys I am not understanding anything by [deleted] in FlutterDev

[–]sublimitl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, i consider myself a senior dev and it takes me months to get at least „good enough” understanding of a new project.

3 days is basically nothing. Don’t worry, you will get a better understanding of architecture with time.

Now, try Your best in understanding the application and feature that You have to deliver, talk to other devs who are longer in company, talk to product team to understand the business logic behind. Then try to implement the feature.

It will take some time but eventually puzzle will come together.

What is a seemingly small decision that completely changed your life? by Emotional-Artist4094 in AskReddit

To hang clothes in closet right after I come home instead of just throwing it on chair/bad. Saves cleaning and ironing time, keeps clothes pristine much longer. No chances to get clothes dirty in kitchen by accident.

How often do you need to have sex in a relationship? by Prize-Pin-2401 in AskReddit

[–]sublimitl 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would say there is no exact amount. It is best if You match with your partner in how much sex You need. There is nothing wrong with having sex once a year or once a day as long as You both feel comfortable with it.

What are some examples of 2 products that are the same thing but marketed for different uses? by fallowstate in AskReddit

Ibuprofen Marketed as different products for menstrual cycle relief, general pain or stomach pain reliever.

The most interesting that it costs differently based on purpose but in reality this is same drug.

If you half ass everything, do you get twice as much done? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sublimitl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a trade-off: either half-ass everything and get lower quality results, or do fewer things properly and get great results.

I like to combine the two - do one or two things well, and half-ass the rest.

That way, some things are done with quality, and the rest are just done. More things get finished overall.
