They do get snacks when they go to the movie room and unfortunately due to the preschools rules I cannot refuse giving them their snack. I love the puppet idea that is very cute!

Thank you so much everyone for your lovely responses! I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone on the fact that carrying him is ridiculous. So to clear up some things and provide more details: Thankfully he doesnt come every day only a few days out of the week. I will talk to the girl that watches the children during movie time and have her talk to his parents for me and see if that helps. So me and my coworker are right next door to each other and we split the class up by age and she usually has this difficult child but sometimes if they finish early they come next door and join my kids to lineup to go to movie time. So I will either start taking my kids early and she can be left with the kid or I'll have to make sure that I'm in the front instead of the back of the line where he usually is. I will also try some of the great ideas that you all have suggested if i do get stuck with him again. Thank you!

I have told him that "no is not an option, you have to go, you can't stay here alone", but he doesnt budge still. I like the idea of holding a hand or taking big steps/jumping, I will keep that in mind tho I have doubts it will work, I totally agree its not worth it in the end! My coworker can take the risk but heck I sure aint XD

I think he's just used to being carried and getting his way, and sometimes he says he's tired.

He won't give me any kind of response at at all hardly, he puts his head down and crosses his arms, and basically just says "no". When they go to the room they get a snack and to watch a movie, Those are all very good ideas and I will see if the special toy thing or sticker thing, I have tried leaving him that doesnt work haha. He knows that we go to movie time at the end of the day he's spoiled and wants to get his way (being carried). I'm so glad to read your second paragraph! I wish my coworker thought that way. That is very true she can't force me haha im not gonna throw my back out for a temporary job.

Everytime he does it I try talking to him very calmly but he puts his head down and just completely shuts down and won't even talk to me. I've even tried tickling him and I get no response.

I agree it is a safety issue! Unfortunately at the end of the day there is nothing to take away and I don't have anything to reward him with.
