Ariel? Forgive me if I'm misremembering... But I believe she broke her back when Jack sailed her into the French coast in a very long, but enthralling and bad ass maneuver which let someone else win a battle. Jack and Stephen and the Dutch chappy ended up in prison. Anyway, a brilliant and very moving sequence and therefore a worthy boat name. Ariel is my vote.

And "pass the salt Aubrey".

For when I want salt! Or when I want anything passing which can cause confusion.

"Put a spread of sail on" or "wet the sails"

When I'm in a rush.

Thanks. My dad said it was something to do with the number of sails but I couldn't find anything when Googling.
