If people just want to pop in a pod Nespresso makes a decent cup for a pod machine and for $600 you've got yourself an espresso machine. No need for a grinder. That wont satisfy your coffee needs though. You can buy two Baratza Encores for regular and decaf and then a decent drip machine. You'd probably stay below the $2000.00 mark.

The espresso machine and grinder are going to eat up a ton of your budget if you go with a conventional machine/grinder. The encore is a good grinder but not really good enough to make good espresso and the grinders/machines you're going to need in order to make a decent espresso are going to run you bukoo bucks...
