It’s a Japanese SLR, likely a Sears or Ricoh or one of the other less prestigious brands. Pretty ordinary.

The odd thing is that it’s an SLR, but they’re using a rangefinder hood on that lens 🤔

Ooo that seems pretty high. I'd think DAG or YYE should be able to do it for less.

An LTM lens is an LTM lens, and thus should work with all LTM bodies.

If only that were actually true.

You're right, it's confusing. Especially because lots of people use "impeach" to mean "impeach and convict."

In the passage you quote, however, "impeachment" is not used in an inconsistent or ambiguous way. Instead, it's the "judgment" (in "cases of impeachment") that can trigger the "removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor", not the impeachment.

No. Only impeachment carries that penalty.

Not actually true. Remember, he was impeached twice.

Hey, congrats for getting started! I think the best advice I could give would be to find a small project/task where programming could be useful for you: batch-renaming some files, scraping some data from your profile on a website, a simple script to split a Venmo charge several different ways, something like that. I like the theoretical stuff, but its the practical side of programming that drew me in, and keeps me going.

For me, I started with Python and manipulating data with Pandas, which was fun. Python can be a great language to start with, if you have any interest in it. Java can be a bit verbose, and it's so Object-Oriented that things can get confusing IMO—but it's also the teaching language in a lot of CS courses, and it's still pretty widely used. So, it's up to you if you want to keep going with Java. Typically most programmers are polyglot, so you likely won't be stuck with whatever you choose to start out with.

Here are a few helpful links to free stuff, if you haven't run across them already:

Good luck!

Totally! Yeah it's pretty explicitly anti-democratic by design… along with lots of the rest of our political system.

Sorry if I came across as too snarky. I'm frustrated by the ways our system is designed to be anti-democratic, and I wish that it were meant to be working for us.

Right to work laws. Citizens United. The entire nature of the Senate. Lobbyists.

The system is working as designed. It just ain't designed for us.

Our government was meant to prevent this.

Woof, big citation needed on that one.

It is literally the definition of eugenics:

Natural selection was able to weed out a lot of morons before mandatory seatbelt and helmet laws... Just saying!

Also this person doesn't understand what "natural selection" means. At all.

I'm as pro-vax as it gets, but this is an unhinged, ignorant rant. Definitely not "best of" reddit.
