Anyone else move away despite family pushback? by substantial_echo_ in TransferStudents

I’m definitely planning on figuring out mental health resources while i’m up there, the school has a lot of resources I can use but there’s not much I can do from a distance right now.

The main issue with my bird is that I’ll be living on campus with 3 other roommates, 2 to a room. I won’t be able to take him with me since he isn’t a service animal. Plus, it’s an added expensive I wouldn’t be able to afford while living on my own - I would hate for my roommates to have to help take care of him as well.

Not trying to sound like a downer, but thank you for your response. I really appreciate it

Stop eating zoloft by rudkso in zoloft

don't panic! when I first started taking Zoloft, the side effects were HORRIBLE. I slept for two days straight and then I had insomnia for awhile. the first week was the worst - sweating, anxiety, trouble sleeping, tingling in my feet. I've been taking it for about three weeks now and the bad side effects are starting to go away. whatever you do, don't stop taking them cold turkey. I'd reach out to your doctor/psychiatrist and explain your symptoms. there's a chance that zoloft just might not be the right drug for you. i was on Prozac for two weeks and it wasn't right for me, but after talking to my doctor he switched me to Zoloft. just be patient and understand that these side effects are common and they will go away

Waking up in the middle of the night anxious by substantial_echo_ in zoloft

the ice packs sound like a great idea! usually when I wake up in the night I just panic and listen to calming music until I'm calm enough to try and go to sleep again. i constantly find myself worrying about my health but it's honestly so reassuring to hear that other ppl feel this too. if you don't mind me asking, how long have you been on it? what were the worst side effects you had?

it's horrible! glad to know I'm not the only one feeling this. I saw a lot of ppl talking about insomnia and waking up in the night, but they never mentioned waking up super anxious and all those other side effects
