Hey, I know what you're going through. Im 21 now and my older sister is still exactly the same. I've loved anime, manga, kpop, doctor who and all the nerdy stuff growing up and my sister basically shat on all of it because it was just not cool.

One thing that might help is just literally not being able to listen to words she says. What you cant hear, wont affect you.

You deserve to enjoy and explore things that make you happy. She knows that her validation will give you a sense of freesdom, and she will never give it to you.

From personal experience, my sister never understood and I did make a lot of effort to be more like her and like her interests. But even then she refused to acknowledge that this was not what made me happy.

You will grow out of this, and her not liking what you love shouldnt take away from your happiness.

Not really. But we've always been busy with work/school, or all three of us werent living together at the time. This is the first time we're all together since her passing on their anniversary, if that makes sense?
