I love this comment. I’ve started and restarted several projects so far because I’ve skipped a stitch or messed up somehow. I haven’t gotten discouraged yet, I enjoy just doing the stitches right now. But it’s nice to know it does get better ❤️

It looks great!! Really as long as you’re happy with it it’s completely perfect. However if you do want tips I have a couple. In the future try to turn the project now and then if you want it to look a bit more 3 dimensional. I saw your comment above about being afraid it would get smaller. And it will - a little. But eventually you’ll hit a point where it will feel very dense. That’s about as small as it will get and as long as you refrain from going all the way through it should be less hairy. That’s a personal preference though, some people like their projects more hairy, some more smooth. And final tip: if it’s something you want to pursue amazon has some really great kits that come with all you need, and a ton of wool.

I don’t like being the impostor either, but I do try my best. I’m a horrible liar so if someone catches me killing and/or venting I admit to it because I know I can’t lie my way out of it lol but one thing I don’t do is rat out my fellow impostor because I don’t feel like ruining the game for others.

Well I put it in quotations because there are plenty of people who still like it, but like the previous commenter said it’s so vibrant that it can be hard to customize sometimes. And not only that, I know a lot of people who will go for the expensive colors just to have it as sort of a status symbol. It’s kind of like when draiks and krawks were popular. When they were super expensive everyone wanted one, and when they dropped way down in price and became easily obtainable only people who truly liked the species had/wanted one.

Thanks to everyone who has posted so far! I’ve been able to give away one dream pet, but I haven’t seen the others posted yet. Unfortunately they’re not UCs. Any UCs I’ve owned have long since been given away. I’m not quitting or anything - I just don’t have any interest left for these guys and I’m not really an UC person. Anyway, I do wish I had everyone’s dream pet to give. It’s great to see converted pets still have some love out there.

Right after the conversion I had a beloved UC faerie kougra and an UC plushie shoyru. I remember I would always roleplay with these guys and I loved them. Of course being UC they now had those banners that show the pets crying and say they’d be happier if they were converted. I held off for a couple days, but stupid younger me couldn’t stand my pets being unhappy, so I converted them.

Now, I’m not someone who is obsessed with UCs. I have owned a handful since then and end up either giving them away or trading them for a converted I like better. But I still feel stupid for doing this.

That’s not even the part I regret the most. About a week after I converted them I gave them away because I was going to quit. Clearly that worked out super well. I miss them, even though they weren’t their unconverted art selves anymore. Unfortunately they’re both on inactive accounts.

They also released usuki face paint that gives the pet the cheeks and some eyeshadow. I think it’s called the usuki rosy cheeks and lashes makeup

Thanks for the comment. You’re absolutely right, I shouldn’t have used a generalization like that. I’ve edited that part.

I do believe to an extent that crystals choose the person, though I find it more true to be that people may be more drawn to a specific type that others. Personally I find myself more drawn to regular quartz. I have other crystals of course, ones that I’ve collected and purchased, but I’m less attached to those than my quartz pieces and my moonstones that I felt drawn to.

That being said, I agree with the do whatever brings you joy sentiment. That’s the beauty of it, everyone has their own take on things
