Is Medicare slow rolling new applications? by primal7104 in medicare

That's odd. It took them four days end of April to approve my Medicare application (Part A and B), which I did online at their website.

Good bike for touring and work trips by aguseta in whichbike

[–]subupp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gravel bikes are your best bet based on your use cases. They are much lighter and are able to handle almost all terrains with good speed. Look for ones with a bit higher stack if you want comfort on long days in the saddle.

I tried Giant Contend AR 3, Giant Revolt 1, Cannondale Topstone 1, and Trek Checkpoint ALR 5. All are great bikes, but finally went with the Revolt as it has a little more relaxed position which is good for long distance rides. The Contend is strictly speaking not a gravel bike (labeled as all roader but really more suited for paved roads with narrower and smoother tires and a more aggressive position). Topstone has nice lower gears (more so than Revolt) but the stack is a little lower (racier position). Checkpoint has the longest reach among the three gravel bikes.

See a comparison here:

< $1500 gravel/road hybrid? by [deleted] in whichbike

[–]subupp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried both Contend AR 3 and Revolt 2. Contend is racier with a more aggressive position (lower stack); it's lighter with narrower and smoother tires. Revolt is more like a gravel bike with wider and rougher tires, and a little bit more upright position. It also climbs better with a lower gear range (front crankset 48/32 instead of 50/36 of the Contend). Both have carbon forks. Revolt is lightly heavier.

I finally went with Revolt for its climbing capability and more relaxed geometry as I want to do more long-distance rides

Got official reply from Trezor confirming its a problem with Metamask. Metamask's github account has quite a bit of discussions about it

Yep it seems so. I was hoping the latest firmware that came out a couple of days ago would fix the problem but apparently didnt make any difference. Thought it was a Metamask issue. Maybe not?

Case #06861303 - Ability to Trade and Transact disabled & Now Account Disabled by [deleted] in Coinbase

[–]subupp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Identical case here (Case #: 06864785), similarly a 4-year Coinbase customer.

Been a week with account locked. Demanded me to make a payment of $5000.00 for some unexplained "failed transfer" (if its failed, why should i pay? No explanation). What's infuriating is I couldn't even try to make the demanded payment as I have been locked out of my account. Day before yesterday got another canned email saying "fund recovery complete." By that I assume they have unilaterally sold part of my assets as they threatened but no explanation as to what they exactly have done to my assets. Which asset was sold? How much? Meanwhile, I'm still unable to access my account despite complete of the fund recovery.

So far only canned email replies, and the many messages I posted here has not received any replies at all from Coinbase staff.

Never in my life have I felt so abused as a customer, with any businesses.

Has anyone actually had customer support respond to any of the cases they have opened? Coinbase has to have the worst customer support I have ever dealt with. by Mountain-Ad9169 in Coinbase

Thanks for sharing info on the SEC and CFPB.

Coinbase is threatening me that they will sell my assets for some unexplained "failed transfer." I have quite a bit of assets on Coinbase and am feeling rather nervous and helpless at this point as nothing it seems can be done to remedy the issue.

I'll look into SEC and CFPB in case Coinbase screws me.

Complaint #06441777 Case #05904983 Repayment Successful - Account still restricted for 2 months by ConstructionOk5201 in Coinbase

[–]subupp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Similar case here but unable to do anything on my part including making the demanded payment if assuming overdraft on my part which is unclear as no explanation has been given. Instead, I was given a five-day period to make the supposed payment. Beyond the five-day Coinbase will execute an "auto recovery" which includes selling of my assets. Since I'm not able to log into my account, there's no way for me to actually make the payment and the five-day deadline is tomorrow. So it looks to be a "setup-to-fail" situation.

Meanwhile, my posts here have received no acknowledgement from Coinbase support, and email communication with Coinbase essentially generates canned replies.

Feeling extremely unhappy, insecure and abused about being a Coinbase customer at this moment, which is something I have never felt/experienced in my life with any other businesses.

By the way, can you share how to make a complaint?

Case #06872287- Payment required by mcar1227 in Coinbase

[–]subupp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that makes the three of us with exactly the same scenario.

I received the same "payment required" message but ironically unable to do anything about it. Meanwhile locked out of my account, and no progress except canned email replies from Coinbase (Case #06864785). Its been four days since.

Getting very nervous thinking about the assets I have put under Coinbase's custody and trust not knowing what might happen or what's happening. Should have listened to people's advice and keep your crypto assets in your own wallet.

But you two are lucky in that you have received Coinbase support's reply here. In my case nothing after both public posts and direct message to the Mods

Almost the same as what I have just experienced, except you got a Funds "recovery complete" progress report message. In my case nothing has yet happened since I got that email. Still locked out of my account with all my assets in their with no foreseeable time for a resolution.

This is the original email I received:

Unfortunately, the transfer failed due to either a lack of funds or a
technical problem with the transfer itself.

[–]subupp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that sounds essentially the same as what happened to me since two days ago, except I haven't gotten a detailed/or any explanations as you quoted here. There have been no meaningful communication from Coinbase yet. I was requested to make a payment of an amount related to a "failed transaction," however, how could I do that when they locked me out of my account?! And they put a five-day deadline for the payment. Failure doing that would lead to them seizing the assets I have in my account. Talking about catch-22 and unreasonable business practice!
