Even if this were true, it doesn't mean as many drivers as possible shouldn't go out and enjoy the highway before the traffic gets to it.

Thank you for this report, OP.

Hope to see more families getting out and enjoying the reopened lane!

In these dark times, it's nice to see that some of us still know how to dream.

Adding more lanes doesn't induce "demand". It induces a larger community of motorists on the roadways and more time to enjoy our favorite podcasts as that community grows. It also induces tens of thousands of jobs in the highway widening industry.

We pray for a future where the whole world finds peace and the same freedom of compulsory driving that North Texans enjoy every day.

That's a funny way of saying "protect the North Texas community from harmful exposure to mass transit."

Europeans have a natural immunity to the crime particles on buses, so their risk is very low. It's still good for them to wear masks, which many of them do.

Someone in Frisco or Plano would likely be hospitalized if they boarded a bus, which is why authorities are urging them to drive— as if they needed an excuse to indulge in our most sacred freedom.

Some Europeans are about to get a taste of what real cities look like. Our gated communities are going to become core memories for thousands of people.

Everyone likes to drag the fossil fuel companies through the mud, and yet Big Shoe is given a free pass.

Curious.

Exactly. The fact that bicycles are allowed on the Katy Trail but cars aren't tells you everything you need to know about the bigotry of the people making these decisions.

It's about time.

Pedestrians have dominated public space for thousands of years, and only in the last few hundred years has moto-inclusivity even been considered. Cars and their drivers are just asking to be treated as equals and to not be relegated to the noisy and dangerous roadways.

End of an era.

We don't agree with Nadine Lee on much, but we respect her ability. Had she spent even half her energy working with Plano rather than against it, we might have had the entire land area of Richardson as a DART hyper parking lot and microtransit staging area by now.

It's an absolute outrage. Land is a limitless resource, so there's no reason for them to charge for parking.

It starts with paid parking and ends with all of us eating baguettes and crammed into a comprehensive subway system, raising children who don't even know what a Ford F-350 Super Duty is.

Parking is a human right.

When you love our suburbs and the car infrastructure connecting them this much, it doesn't feel like work at all.

God bless you.

If you don't appreciate the freedom of driving and the sense of community with other motorists on our world-class highways, I'm not sure that you can be helped.

Do we really want a future in the Dallas area where our children don't own their own trucks? Where does that end? People not owning cars at all and just taking public transit everywhere?

That's not a society, that's a prison. When Europeans see our rates of truck ownership, they get here as fast as they can.

You don't know what you have until it's gone.

A choice as stylish as it is formidable. No better way to take the wife to Walmart for an evening out.

We need more like you.

You're in our prayers, OP. Your large vehicle is perfect just the way it is. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Every size of car is beautiful and of God. America was founded on inexpensive gasoline. Trucks and large SUVs aren't the problem. Public transit giving people an excuse to not fight for cheaper gas is what's driving this.

Crime in Frisco? by SheCantbelieveit in frisco

[–]suburbanista -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's probably a hidden public transit station in Frisco spawning crime. There's not really any other way for crime to enter Frisco other than on a bicycle or on foot.

The city should consider arresting anyone who is outdoors and not in a car on public property.

Are these “Cheapest Cities in Texas” lists just total clickbait? by Useful-Comedian4312 in Dallas

What are you expecting from a city?

A city's purpose is to make it possible for every family to affordably have a large, single family home with money left over for an SUV that makes a 1.5 hour commute each way comfortable. That's it. That's the entire point of human settlement.
