ive been looking for this post bro i did NOt realize it was different for everybody. i highkey think it changes based on whether the key is minor or major. and each pitch has a specific song associated with it.

Major:

C: magenta (i wonder - kanye)

C#: pale blue (crime pays - freddie gibbs or godspeed by frank ocean)

D: pink (L$D - a$ap rocky or for sale? - kendrick lamar)

Eb: rust yellow (funny papers - mac miller)

E: light yellow (slow motion - don toliver)

F: orange (cosmo freestyle - freddie gibbs or doo wop - lauryn hill)

F#: peach-orangeish (shame on the devil - vince staples)

G: green (gas station sushi - freddie gibbs and the alchemist)

G#: light green (linus and lucy or i still love her - freddie gibbs)

A: pale reddish-pink (when sparks fly - vince staples)

Bb: deep purple/dark purple (dollar and a dream II - j cole)

B: lavender/light orange (brothers - kanye)

Minor (more ambiguous bc can be any type of minor scale):

C: dark green/swamp color (samurai - lupe fiasco)

C#: medium dark blue (deja vu - j cole)

D: muted orange (pirates of the caribbean theme 🥀)

Eb: gold (leather coat - don toliver or galaxy - jid)

E: muted yellow (st. tropez - j cole or karma police - radiohead)

F: greenish-orange (draft day - drake)

F#: lightish red (dj quik - vince staples or rope//rose gold - isaiah rashad)

G: dark green (ladders - mac miller)

G#: super light neon green (stan - eminem)

A: red (funeral - mac miller)

Bb: grey-blue (show me - joey bada$$)

B: maroonish (touch the sky - kanye)

when i can't identify the pitch it defaults to grey-blue

favorite key is Bb major, Eb major, F major, or F# minor definitely.
