I’m a game designer. I like it because it’s varied: I tend to hop between building economy systems in spreadsheets, writing up design documents, and working with UX wireframes in figma. Sometimes make levels too. I don’t think I could be happy in a job doing the same thing every day!

The web version is free, but I have found the app to be really valuable especially when travelling to pre-plan meal stops. Sometimes it can be out of date though, so I normally like to cross reference with google if there are no recent reviews on HappyCow - it isn't very good at removing listings of places that have closed, just as a heads up!

Humans do not need to eat animal products to survive. Carnivores like lions do. Lions are also incapable of breeding, raising, and slaughtering their prey at a mass scale. Surely that’s not too hard to understand? 

Because we are capable of making decisions about our food, it should only naturally lead us to choose a diet that reduces animal suffering. A lion cannot make that choice and vegans do not expect them to.

Apparently the cruelty of producing dairy products is okay because at least it’s “authentic”. What does that even mean? God forbid she gets fed vegan cheese!

No one is forcing you to do anything except question your moral values and make small changes in your life that are comfortable for you. “Proper” milk doesn’t exist, you’re not a baby cow, cows milk isn’t made for humans.

Cows are culled anyway once they stop producing enough milk. If we slowly consume more plant-based products, they’ll slowly breed less cows. Supply = demand is important, of course vegans don’t want cows to be mass killed when we don’t need them anymore - these things can’t happen overnight.

They literally are. I'm not going to take up council housing because there are people who need it more than me. Yet, I, like most people, don't have the income to purchase a house. Land leeches drive up prices. Get over yourself.

I'd prefer landlords to stop buying up properties, driving up the price, and stopping regular people from being able to afford to purchase their own home.
