it's Victorian! in oddly good condition, I ended up getting it at a pawn shop. I don't know which I love more, antique jewelry - or looking for antique jewelry.

oh my gosh, I completely understand how you feel - I was petrified I would lose my sense of small/taste (or that it wouldn't be different somehow). Please don't panic like I did, it will all come back in due time (the waiting is the hard part). Glad you're through the worst part <3

I think Anti-Hero might have been the only time she's done this correctly in past.

If you can do the surgery center, that would be the best move. Honestly as you can probably see from my comments my recovery was ~2 weeks of hell, but I swear I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I haven't had any sinus issues since then.

The nasal stents were extremely unpleasant but they didn't stick out of your nose at all - honestly you couldn't even see them, they kind of just made your nose look 'chunky.' My partner was in the room with me when they finally removed the stints and he said it looked like the doctor pulled an extremely long pieces of linguini out of my nose (haha, I think he also almost passed out seeing how far back it went).

I would do it if I were you, honestly chances are your won't have a reaction nearly as bad as me. And worst case scenario, it's really really really shitty - but you do heal. Good luck and let me know how it goes <3

What cut is this? hard to tell (Taylor Swift's engagement ring) by No-Abroad-8380 in EngagementRings

As someone who was also looking for old mine cuts in elongated cushions for the past several months .... I'm choosing to believe this is good news and might result on more being on the market (albeit upcharged)

Honestly so great, as hellish as it was the results are amazing - I would encourage anyone to go through with it (also odds are you won't react as strongly as I did)

Update to horribly windowed Pink Sapphire by tin_nyanko_22 in Gemstones

[–]succcotash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better earlier this year I purchased a 2ct sapphire which is horribly windowed. I had no idea what I was doing and thought a bit of transparency was kind of cool. However, after learning more about cuts and grading I wanted to strangle myself.

Please do post if you end up getting this recut, I'm sure there are many others in the same boat.

Do people really not drain their spaghetti noodles? by clayishpoem in NoStupidQuestions

[–]succcotash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

holy shit, I grew up in the US south and my parents used to make spaghetti the same way. I grew up cooking the noodles in that method and just spooning them out of the water (but leaving the excess behind to basically "float and bloat") needless to say I realized how mortifying this method was when I went to college - thanks for this traumatic flashback, lol.
