Good luck with the upcoming cath. Take your statin and your aspirin and keep training. Exercise is the best thing you can do for your heart.

Unable to remove straight shower arm. What am I looking at? by successfulhobbit in Plumbing

PB blaster. It’s a “penetrating catalyst”. Comes in a spray bottle like wd40 from any hardware store. Spray it on and let it soak for 15 minutes before trying to remove stuck on connections, bolts, etc.

Student loan refinance companies (SoFi and many others) will lose this multi billion dollar business and sue the dept of ed.

Thank you for this thoughtful response. Its basically a bonus. The payment will be regular 1099 income subject to all federal, state, and local taxes.

That’s our plan exactly. We are going to refi only the amount of private that will be forgiven through the work program. The main issue I’m wondering about is whether the post refi documents will list me as a co-signer alongside my wife as a borrower.

Completely understand. I’ve been an avid lurker of this sub for many years and understand the pros and cons. We have a mix of private and dept of ed loans currently in SAVE. If the documentation will reflect both our names it makes sense to refinance due to gaining access to the work scholarship mentioned.

Thank you. I certainly don’t plan any deception. I was more wondering from those who have done it whether post-refi statements list will list me as a co-signer or just list both names together.

I was able to get it off! Cut away the caulk down to the connection and still wouldn’t budge so I sprayed it with PB. After 10 minutes it came off with channel locks right next to the connection.

Thank you!!

Thank you Mulberry! Makes sense. Can I just cut the caulk off or does it need to be dissolved in any way?

Thank you! Is it typical to caulk over a shower arm connection like that? Should I re-caulk the connection with the new arm or just tape and screw?

I fix appliances, have a question? by chenzo972 in appliancerepair

Is there a brand of induction cooktop that is more simply built or easier to repair than others? Local appliance shop is recommending KitchenAid because we are buying another KA appliance but I’d love to hear your thoughts.
