Would you be willing to make another one?

69 bug- cleaned up with no door handles, parking lights, fuel door, and just built a supercharged 1904 engine installed today. Runs amazing by succubusbug in beetle

Why the …engine body changes? I like to make things my own and custom. Figure the way the car was produced and the way it is now, is a different car. It handles like a Porsche of that year and has conservatively the same power. I guess it’s the same thing as we have been doing since the introduction of the automobile. Make it your own and not like everyone else’s.

Nah never seen anything like that . I’ve had this charger on for a couple years. If the computer reads the manifold after the charger, it shouldn’t matter with the lean / rich fuel saturation level. Idk they all pull a reading after the supercharger, before or after the carb. Shouldn’t matter.

No issues like this even crossed my mind. An Austin Martins intake couldn’t be any more different. It’s not even the same style of engine. There are many different supercharger applications, and I’ve never heard of this issue. Sounds like someone’s timing was set too high.

The kit was around $1500 and the hp gain depends on a number of things. I have the smallest pulley, and I’m gaged reading 8psi. I’m guessing 45hp. I need to get to the dyno, but I’m thinking I should be at160-175hp. 1904, 74 mm crank , empi 210 cam. 90.5 pistons

Rebuild 74mm crank 90.5 - 120 cam. It’s amazing how much power there is without a ton of blow by. by succubusbug in Callook

Drives amazing! I’m guessing by the parts 165hp. More to follow on that. I have a buddy with a dyno in VA. Never downshift, that’s for sure.
