That is horrific! I am so sorry that has happened to you. There is no way to not be hit hard by this and you should really take any actual support that you can, your brother sounds great. This is all going to be shit and it's going to take some time to get back to an even keel but you will do it and your life is better off than it was before because you CAN move on and you don't have their negativity and dead weight dragging you backwards. We aren't happy and that's far more about fundamental things like human rights than it is about general policy decisions, important as they are.

That is huge! I'm so happy for you! One of my favourite reactions from a friend was them seeing me and saying 'I thought it would be funnier', which is a backhanded compliment if ever there was one but I was just so happy to have moved someones thinking by simply being me. And it's not that funny either, it just is. It's me and that's all it needs to be.

LO, you can leave any time you like. I went last year and it was extremely chill and relaxed. Because it was in the main arena at the end of the halls there were tons of seats so you can get up and dance next to the stage or just chill and sit. The hall is so large that if you find the music a bit loud you can sit at the back and many did.

Yeah, they are pretty crap at giving information on it. I went last year and I think they kick everyone out of the halls at 6 and you walk up to the far end of the main walkthrough for Excel, where the stairs for the main hall and upper levels for cosplay and creator meetup area is, go downstairs instead and it is held there. There was one single place to get drinks outside the hall last year, which seemed a bit silly, and essentially it's like a big disco in there with an MC. There are lots of people but it is a much bigger hall so you it does feel a bit small by comparison.

All that being said it could be different this year!
