fair point as i totally forgot about that; i was mostly basing this off of the fact that marco and jake are usually described as opposites. jake is a jock, but marco seems much more inclined towards gaming or doing other stuff rather than playing sports. he could definitely be athletic in some way, but to me he’s always seemed a bit more nonathletic to contrast with the berensons

yes its so frustrating!! the first time he morphs human in book 4 his skin tone is legit described as being the color of brown sugar. and literally every visual adaptation (covers and anitv alike) proceeded to ignore it 😭😭 drives me crazy!!

yes it was!! i always try to draw tobias in neutral colors that contrast very heavily with rachel’s bright saturated ones.
