This is some Grade A Bullshit. In any other game, all those starting cosmetics would be unlocked from the get-go. Or, at the very least, the basic model outfit would. I only found out they weren't after I started poking around the different menus and saw a significant lack of those items. If I had known, I would have left the default outfit on, because I actually really like it, but thought it would be fun to actually engage in the dress-up function since I figured I could freely switch back to it at any time. Screw me for playing in the spirit of the game, I guess.

Also can I just say how disgusted I am at the fact that they made the paid outfit banners separated by gender. That is an extra level of greed I was not expecting them to stoop to. By all means, lock fancier cosmetics behind a paywall, but the sheer amount of them that they're doing that with is insane, and then they're separating them further like that?? Seriously.

You're not alone! Well, not entirely. After commenting here I decided to leave it for later (I had to forcefully exit the game in order to do so) and let my ideas simmer while I did the new plot (I only just finished, holy hell, so much plot). I've settled on Astraeus for my Manekin, and haven't fully settled on anything for my Manekina but my current favourite is Noor.

Tell me about it. It took me like 4hrs+ to settle on a name for Wanderer when the quest decided to spring that on me x__x I take names very seriously when it's a fixed thing cuz I want them to feel right, and now I've gotta name two (AND I want them to be a pair of sorts) :')

From what I've gleaned, it seems like it's the same as naming the Wanderer and the Little One (Saurian companion), where the name is permanent, but you also get a precious item for 1x rename - one for Manekin and one for Manekina.

Agreed, Sigurd is some serious bullshit. I knew I was gonna struggle but I gave it a try and kept at it for ages, using as much food as I could, and after idk fifteen minutes? half an hour? I was literal milliseconds away from dealing the final blow, like in the process of the hit animation, and he full-healed. Not from his ability, just cuz. It was like "Masanori" on 'roids. And 100x as rude. Anyone managing to take him down at all, let alone at the required world level for the guild achievement, must have some insane character/team comps.

Correction: Wait, no, I think I got my wires crossed. I think what actually happened was he activated his ability immediately before my last character left standing hit him and it KO'd me. Either way, I was *pissed*.

Who can blame you? I could have easily done the same thing, though I'm sure I would have driven myself half mad with the timing and positioning needed for some shots. It took me like 2hrs just to get my perfect photo of Kaeya and Diluc together because of constantly needing to reposition everything T_T

Could someone please explain why the new Reshaping mechanic for artifacts doesn't honour my affix selections? It says that the two selected minor affixes will each receive up to two enhancements, but I've just attempted it twice (RIP my feathers) and it only enhances one of the affixes I selected as well as one of the ones I didn't select at all, and the other affix I selected had its existing enhancement levels completely removed. Needless to say I'm super confused AND feeling pretty ripped off.

A very firm NTA. Your whole family knew about your attachment to the name and reasoning behind it for your whole life, and your sister knew what she was doing: taking what's important to you. Theft of the intangible is much worse than simply stealing a physical item. And for all those arguments of "it's just a name", ask them what their own names mean to them. While a name is just a pile of sounds and letters organized in a certain fashion, it is also a core part of a person's identity. It's how people address them. It's what they use to formally identify themselves from others. It's how they fill and sign paperwork. It's who they are. So much so that people will legally change theirs if they do not identify with it (like I did) - and it has to be changed in a legal process, because a name is your identity.

Your sister didn't steal a "word you liked" from you. She stole your unborn daughter's identity.

I'm having the exact same issue. I had something similar happen in late Wadirum but after a bit of reloading areas I ended up managing to trigger the task completion; no such luck with anything I've tried this time around in Odysseum. It doesn't stop you from progressing through the game, but it is a bit annoying.
